Last time that happened at a SEC school we got planes flying around Fayetteville, Auburn got a new OC and then HC, Ole Miss got a new HC and a coach that fell into a ditch with a blonde bimbo.

It's a term from the World War II era, when the students at UT tended to be the children of the state's wealthy and political classes, who stayed home from the war to sip tea, while A&M's students were more blue collar in nature and joined the war effort in much higher numbers.
Doesn't really have any meaning anymore as both schools are large well-funded research universities, and the students at both tend to be kids of upper middle class suburbanites like most other schools in the country. It's just one of those things from 70 years ago that stuck.

Yeah that's probably one of the biggest misconceptions about ATM. They're not a military academy like navy, army and Air Force. The corps of cadets are a frat dressing up.
