According to Keith Law of ESPN.

quote:

@keithlaw Had Kyler Murray not pulled out of the MLB draft, what sort of bonus do you think he could have garnered?

keithlaw ?@keithlaw

@lonestarball Daz got $4MM? Murray should have gotten that or more. Infielder vs OF, and Murray had real leverage

Well, instead, he was promised he would be the starting quarterback for A&M's high powered offense. Sounds like a good trade...

Well that's just dumb on anyone's part to turn down that much money. Ask Von Poppel how that worked out for him.

That's sounds like a bad business decision. Watching him play this year, he's not even close to being ready for this level of football. He should drop out and go to baseball.

According to his old man, Kevin Murray, on Ben & Skin yesterday, Kyler was only promised he would get an opportunity to compete for the starting job.

Made a bunch of TexAgs Zootards look incredibly stupid.

We have people willing to give up $4 million to come play football at A&M?

Couldn't he just play College Ball at A&M in case his football career didn't work out. It better than nothing.

He shoulda taken the money, finished out a short term contract, and then came back to college football...

He sounds like an idiot

Then maybe he needs to go collect his check and both he and his Daddy can quit crying.

5'10" QBs are pretty successful in the CFL.

And if my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

Ie, so what?

He didn't choose to and he's here with us now. Yeah he could leave to play baseball after this year, but that isn't an option until the bowl game is over.

Funny how shite like this comes out after what we just went through.

We beat bama and ole miss, or even just ole miss, this conversation doesn't even happen

Why not? Wouldn't he still be on the bench in any of those scenarios?

Senquez Golson turned down a 750k signing bonus and several more thousand dollars from the BoSox to come play at OM... Of course he was a unanimous AA selection at cornerback last year and got drafted... Kiper called have the best all around athlete in the draft and said he would've been a 1st rounder if he was 3 inches taller... Kyler will leave CS and go play baseball ... It'll work out for him and he'll get paid.

Two things, that's not $4mm and Golson can actually compete at the payday level in football.

Because what fun is there in throwing gasoline on a nonexistent dumpster fire or kicking a kid when he isn't already down?

Didn't he or his Dad actually bring this on themselves. Honest question, I only get sports radio sound bites and I know those can be somewhat inaccurate - but generally some truth to them.
