I don't see it that way. Unless Les fricks up this hire somehow.
Miller or Golson would probably help, too.

Honestly, what is the definition of decline at LSU? Is it consistently going 9-3 with a few 10-11 win seasons sprinkled in? If so, yea I can see that.

Are we talking consistent 6-7 win seasons? That isn't going to happen.

I really think LSU will come roaring back... if only they can fix that qb issue.

Kleinpeter is just awful. I don't know why I even listened to that.

Verbatim on Finebaum. Long interview, very interesting.

The streak of winning seasons has to end at some point.

15 years in a row.

Florida's 22 season bowl streak was snapped last year.

All things come to an end eventually.

I think it's very possible Miles is out of a job in 2 to 3 years.

It wouldn't take much to derail this train.

After we get off this train, we'll climb aboard the roller coaster.

I didn't know what LSU fans thought of the guy. He looks like a baller, though.

He constantly puts out BS articles and his "Talkin' Tigers" segment is terrible.

I hope he does realize LSU just went 8-5 with as one dimensional as an offense can get and a QB that probably is under 50% completion percentage on screen passes alone lol.

I say this with all sincerity - We're ALL close to being as bad as we've ever been historically. No one wants to believe that what happened at Arkansas could happen at their school, but it can.

Arkansas is lucky. Look at Florida, and Tennessee. At one time, they could start their cheerleaders and get the W. Some of you guys are a touch spoiled.

Yes, LSU went 4-4 in conference with that abysmal situation you describe under center.

And of those 8 conference games, only one (Kentucky) stands out as a game I can recall thinking at halftime that "Yup -- we're going to win this one" as opposed to running back to the liquor cabinet to self medicate. Edit: We had a 10 point lead over A&M at the half so make that two conference games out of 8.

We have tons of talent, no doubt. I've seen this play out before back in '98 and '99. I can honestly see Miles and Cameron going down with the ship a la DiNardo and Tepper. It is now plausible to me whereas 5 months ago I was a big fan of Cameron -- largely because Brandon Harris likes him so much.

Sorry to be a Debbie Downer. Hopefully Miles hires a suitable DC, keeps the talent pipeline pumping and Fournette sets all kinds of records while our QB quietly distributes the ball.

yea. I read about this on another board. I agree with you that LSU's decline would have to come with a bad DC hire because it could and would negatively impact recruiting.

This guy is an idiot. You start declining when you stop getting recruits and LSU just had a top five class and is working on another top ten class. Next years Louisiana group is loaded and LSU should have a good year with what they have returning.

when you win 8 games and the chicken littles are freaking the frick out you know your program is doing OK.

can you imagine if LSU had an Auburn or Arkansas type fall?

I could type Kleinpeter all day. He said it in an interview with Finebaum earlier. I just found his wording funny.
