He’s a sure fire Hall of Fame coach.

Tennesee has been “up” for a total of about 15 of the last 50 years.

If they make a statue of him they need to put bowl on his head.

Smart was 1-4 against Nick, and UGA is 1-8 the last 9 games against the tide. If Bama does win, what does this do for Smart and moving forward? Will he be another Dabo? Win a lot of games and a couple of titles but still be in the shadows if Bama.

I’d be embarrassed if we lost 9 out of ten times to Auburn much less anyone.

I mean all will be forgiven if he wins natties regardless, Bowden lost to Miami a ton too but still submitted maybe the greatest run of excellence in modern times from 1987-2000 and won 2 natties and has an elite legacy RIP. Yeah you want to beat Bama to get the monkey off your back but if you win the rest of your games and get a top seed in the playoff, it really isn't that relevant.

NOW, if he loses to Bama TWICE in the same season (or 3 times God forbid), that's pretty embarrassing and maybe indicates he has a coaching block when it comes to playing the Tide.

This post has some serious insecure vibes.

OP is right though. Kirby needs to win or his legacy takes a hit.

If we are going to talk about his legacy as a whole, I think you'd have to include the several titles he won at Alabama. Ya'll haven't been the same since he left and you know it. The ongoing decline that Alabama has experienced since he left will be even more apparent after tomorrow night.

You must get bullied a lot IRL

Unplug and pay attention in your classes. An anonymous msg board seems too real for you

Jesus Herald Christ, it's like Kirby's Georgia team didn't finish 4 of the last 5 seasons ranked in the top 4 AP and win the SEC's last 2 national championships. Big picture, baw, if UGA doesn't regress out of that, Kirby's fine. I don't think another natty happens this year based on their performance after 3 weeks but it's in the cards like a playoff appearance for Bama's in the cards.

It just shows yet again that he's helpless against the gumps.

Which is his legacy.

Not really. A legacy is not built or lost on a single game. I remember Ranters saying if Georgia didn't beat Team X, we would never win a championship. We were told we would never win a second title for 42 years after 2021. We were told we could never win a title with Stetson Bennett as our coach.

Hyperbole is rampant on this board. Now, if you are saying his rep would be damaged by a loss.....ok. But that can be said about every coach in football.
Do you believe Saban's legacy was hurt when Georgia won 2 straight National Championships? He is still known as GOAT because of his overall body of work. That is how Kirby Smart will be judged. If he falls flat on his face and never comes close again, his legacy will suffer. But not based off one game. What if Alabama beats Georgia, but Georgia goes on to win the playoffs?

lol no.

Taking over a stocked cupboard and winning two natties?

that doesn't put him anywhere near 'one of the best'.

Literally the same amount as Bowden but he did it in shorter time RIP
