After the loss of a parent it takes many people time to recover their sense of normalcy. People going through all the phases of grief need some leeway to figure things out

not real cool even on the rant

This is almost certainly just trolling, but even Georgia fans will tell you they don't expect him to be coaching as long as someone like Saban did, and now with his father passing he could actually be considering spending more time with his kids. He can still go on Gameday or something occasionally and make good money and is already a very wealthy man.
The Georgia people I know have always said he would quit when his kids got a certain age, but who knows.

I'm sure he's looking back fondly on whupping LSU's arse in the 2022 SECGG and thanking God that his Dad was here to see it.

It's excruciatingly devastating to lose a parent, for most of us. If Kirby's Mom is still alive, focusing on her for awhile might be part of his motivation ... a prudent thought. I lost my Dad two years ago. Mom is now with us and it takes them a little while to deal with the loss ... it's very tough on them.
If Kirby is truly contemplating this, most of us would understand and wish him well. Life is short. Kirby has enough money to walk away if he's so inclined.
UGA fans should rest easy knowing that Muschamp is sitting there as their next coach in waiting.

I’ve heard a few SEC coaches have made it known they’d listen to NFL offers.

Why would he go there? Not his home town, not his alma mater, shittier state..
His dad was from Columbia, Al. His grandparents are buried there.

I’m from a military family, moved around a lot and I’m from Georgia.
In high school my family had finally settled down but in a Yankee state.
Met my buddy Alvin from Louisiana, my best friend.
You’re better than this post OP; you’re from Louisiana.

Kirby has made damn near 100 million bucks coaching football. I doubt he goes another 5 years.
He looks tired and that was before he lost his Dad.

Your parent passes & that determines what you do about your job?

You need to understand Time and Place.
It’s NOT the time to post a rumor like this. It’s bad form, insensitive, and downright rude.

To my point, Louisiana peeps are the best I’ve ever met outside of Georgia.
And for THIS reason, y’all are cultured and know manners.
And you’ll call your own out.
God bless Louisiana.
