Kirby called a timeout, but I believe he told the ref he didn’t really want one he just wanted to tell them AU was simulating the snap because the safety 15yds deep with the crowd screaming should have been a penalty. Ref was like, Kirby you got to tell us sooner. Ok, well I didn’t want a timeout. Ok. No timeout. We’ll just do a do over. That’s how it went down.

Incorrect. The announcing booth LITERALLY claimed Kirby was doing the same thing to the refs. Kirby hasn’t said shite but, if you can read lips even a little bit, he was saying “THEY WERE CLAPPING”.

Bottom line: Auburn players were trying to cheat. Refs and Kirby heard the clapping. Refs did the right thing.
