I love how the mantra was "uga hasn't won a title in 40 years! Perennial underachievers!!" and now within the last 6 months it's shifted to "well they probably won't win a second title under kirby! That was probably the only one they'll get!" People just can't stand that uga has finally started living up to expectations and they don't know what to do. Watch kirby win another one and then the narrative will shift to "well he'll never win as many as saban though!"

And btw, fulmer competed in an SEC with 1 other premiere program (florida) on a yearly basis, a bama that was up and down, and whole bunch of mediocrity after that. Kirby is competing against the best dynasty the sport has ever seen. Despite that, kirby has an 81% win percentage and 1 natty after his first 6 years as a HC while fulmer had an 85% win percentaage and 1 natty after his first (full) 6 years. Not as big of a discrepancy as you'd think. Fulmer would proceed to go 36-14 in the years following. Get back to me if kirby loses 14 games over the next 4 years.

so now your sole criteria on comparing 2 coaches is strictly their record against the team you happen to cheer for?

Hmmm...kirby has owned UF while UT got abused by them. I guess kirby is better.

he was richt when he didn't have a title. Now he has one so he's fulmer. I can't wait to see who he morphs into next.

Kirby is a hard nosed, homegrown Bulldog. He was All SEC despite lacking prototypical size or speed. He learned how to build a program from the best, but he also learned from Chris Hatcher, Jim Donnan, Mark Richt…you can see a bit of all of them in his approach. He is now paired up with another big influence on him in Muschamp, some will laugh at that but That’s two great DCs on one team.

What if UGA hits rock bottom in the next two years?

What if we don't? What if we win 2 more National Championships? What if fire rains down from the sky? What if every man, woman and child in the country wins the Publisher's Clearinghouse giveaway and wins $20 million?

Seriously, dude?

What if Brian Kelly goes 0-12 this year?
We can play what if all day long if you would like.

but he needed a lot of breaks to do it with stetson

What breaks were these?

I mean, yeah, I get that Alabama had injuries...but people keep ignoring that Georgia played with a ton of injuries all year...including the title game.

Almost every single team that has ever won a title has needed a certain amount of luck to win a close game or two during the season, or overcome a loss during the season.

He overcame a lot of bad breaks to win one.

What if Kelly does the same thing without winning a championship game?

He overcame a lot of bad breaks to win one

Tate Ratledge broke his lisfranc.
George Pickens broke his ACL (one of the best WRs in the country)
Tykee Smith broke his ACL (all american)
Arian Smith broke his leg (all american)
Jalen Kimber had shoulder surgery and missed the season.
JT Daniels entered the season with a bruised rib cage and exasperated it by a 300 pound Clemson DL into a lat injury.

Our injury report (brooks austin) before the Tennessee game had 9 players out (5 starters, another on the 2 deep, and Kendall Milton at running back who was Zeus's backup). 7 more players listed as questionable or gametime decisions (5 receivers, a running back, and JT Daniels).

The blessing was our 2021 and 2020 recruiting classes that stepped up big time (6 players became starters over the course of the season from those 2 classes that did not start the Clemson game)

Uga is more likely to go undefeated and get back to the playoffs than either of the clown shows referenced. It’s 10-11 wins from here on out so you losers better get used to it.

I think Kirby will be fine, he’s a good HC and recruiter.
