yeah pretty much. But at least there was some information at first. Now there is no information at all, just fake press conferences and Finebaum being a cocktease.

Does this statement in any way, shape, or form, indicate that you believe that Aub is guilty with any degree of probability or suspicion? And yet, intend that Aub is still allowed it's full legal rights.

Either way, I respect your realistic take on the matter, like Ross, Marines, and the other non-head-sand Aubies.

And I'll reiterate, I feel for you despite my vitriol in some threads, and have enjoyed my interaction with Aubies on the plains(best day game fans in SEC), and in BR.

Until CamGate broke, after LSU had lost at Aub, I was "all in" for Aub to become the SEC's 4th BCS Championship Program in 5 years.

Now, I can't pull for a title team that will be vacated eventually, and as an LSU fan(one that was on the Plains for RefGate 2006), the fact that Aub to date, is LSU's lone 2010 blemish, and can easily be deducted that LSU would've won and been unbeaten to date if not for an player that will eventually be found ineligible..I think you can sense some LSU fans resentment on the matter.

Here's hoping for a day when Auburn fans have a program free of Lowder, Dye, Rane, and their mafia..as past history appears it would be mutually beneficial to LSU too.

But yet, judging by the responses in the thread, you guys believed every single word of it without any question whatsoever. That's being simple minded. Dude even said all of this will be confirmed by the end of the week and AU would be kicked out of the SEC. And you guys obviously believe it. Wow

Doesn't matter what anyone here believes, it matters what really happened. You folks are screwed. Somewhere between the two extremes is the truth, and my guess is it will not be in your favor.

Did you even bother reading the "As the plains burn thread"? Do any of yall even bother glancing at the sources or links to actual articles?

Pretty sure that's what the OP is talking about.

Wikipedia has links to sources and "actual articles," but that doesn't always make it right.

It don't matter to me, though. Believe every single word in that thread if you want. I think it's pretty darn funny that you're arguing against the OP.

"I'll read what I want to on the Internet and believe what I damn well choose. I got your critical thinking right here, pal! YEEEEEHAAAAAW! American Gladiators reruns on ESPN Classic, Woot!"

I feel like some shady shite probably went on but I'm not going to by into the innuendo or conjecture at this point. It's pretty obvious that if something did in fact happen, it was covered up well. The fact that complete morons (i.e. Kenny Rogers) were in on this only makes me believe that something more substantial would have been dug up by now than simple finger pointing. Like I said, though, we could still very easily get boned for this if they do find something more substantial.

Whether you care to acknowledge it or not, however, shite like this happens in major college football ALL THE TIME but people are pretending they don't know that so they can continue to burn Cam at the metaphorical stake.

LSU has been one of the luckiest teams I've ever seen this year and I honestly feel a team like Oregon might put a waxing on that arse. I think they could probably beat us with Cam, too, though. The Cal game has made me a bit more confident, however.

As for a program free of megaboosters and assclowns, to that.

Not based on the info out right now, we aren't.

Conjecture =/= reality

I acknowledge that something had to have gone down but now it comes down to proving it and proving how much of something went down. They have yet to do that.

I think all SEC fans acknowledge that players sometimes get Franklin handshakes, nice rides at prices unavailable to the general public, and lavish summer collegian jobs that pay whether they show up, or the work ever gets done.

I do think the NCAA, most BCS conference schools,etc..are working hard to reduce this from former days when places like Knoxville, etc..were Escaladeville. And have increased the proxy distance between their boosters and players, etc..

But, the elevated dollar amounts in the recent Reggie Bush & Cam Newton at Aub scandals, scream much louder than say the Bomar at Okla, Newton at Fla, etc..grade scandals(most of which were out of the institutional control realms). And once out in the public's view, the hammer must come, to save face by the regulating bodies(that at times haven't always acted, and/or acted at times with very uneven hands case-for-case).

How has Auburn had such problems removing this "redneck mafia" that has been well known even to opposing fanbases for ages now?

Either an arse-ton of money or they aren't in as much control as people think.

It sure has appeared that Lowder has been working puppet-strings at Aub, in the Ath-Dept, for decades.

the track record says that Lowder gets bjs from the president of the university, so i think there is just an arse load of money involved. Boosters are only this strong when the AD and chancellors are pussies.

Appearances can be deceiving.

I'm not saying he hasn't been, but I am a skeptical person by nature. I don't normally accept heresay or conjecture.

I don't find Tommy Tub, Tater Tot, nor Tony Franklin, to be vindictive liars.

And their exiting and post-Plains essays , all set the tone of coaches that wanted to spill(their guts) on certain activities at Aub and about certain folks, yet without killing their own careers as snitches, nor in breaking a possible "code" amongst bigtime NCAA Football's darker side.

Tuna's thread and the reaction to it is definitely the saddest thing I've seen on a message board and that's really saying a lot.

I agree.

I don’t claim to know who is behind all this, although it’s pretty clear that Alabama and Mississippi State boosters are involved on some level- Phillip Marshall, Auburn Undercover

Also, in fairness, I don't think most people believe everything in that thread. They're just having fun at Auburn's expense right now. Eric Smith style.
