I’d like to see documentation of this. I posted a link to O’s contract in one of the “LSU getting the death penalty” threads after a poster said the same thing about him. That contract specifically stated TAF paid only $500,000 of his salary. The rest came from the school, the media arm, and endorsements.

She’s 58, has 3 NCs under her belt, is a HOF coach, not worried about money, and loves her state. We’re close in age, and if it were me, I’d probably want to do the same thing. When she puts LSU back on the map in WBB and retires from LSU, what more can you ask than to retire in your state a beloved hero? Plus, it’s plausible she’s looking for a new challenge.
