She told John Bel Edwards he was ugly and stupid, to his face. She was actually reaching for a way to compliment him, but just trailed off and never made it there.

What is wrong with Louisiana? I had to listen to our baseball series with LSU on the LSU radio network and every game the commentators took little jabs about our fans not wearing masks

Just how toxic is the Baylor administration that Mulkey would walk away from a perennial top 5 team with almost no competition for the conference title to go to a program that is due for a rebuild?
I know she's from Louisiana but things have to be really messed up over there. I'm not taking anything away from Louisiana mind you, Tech and LSU have both fielded great women's team so we know the talent to win big is absolutely there, but a coach that competitive just doesn't walk away from a job like Baylor without some real behind the scenes drama from the admin.

The Baylor side doesn’t seem to think there was any drama behind the scenes. She left on a professional note and didn’t really have anything to prove at Baylor anymore.
I can’t say I’ll be buying a foam finger and attending multiple WBB games but it’s great PR for the school, and any time a winner like Kim Mulkey wants to coach at your university, you make it happen

Well for the record, both Kim and JBE both grew up in Tangipahoa Parish, an interesting place geographically in that in runs from Lake Maurepaus/Pontchartrain (Pass Manchac) all the way to the MS line (Kentwood area, home of Ms Spears). JBE's family have been in Law Enforcement in Tangi for a long, long time, and no doubt Kim and JBE have known each other long before this.
My theory is that Kim probably cleared this with JBE and knows some private information suggesting that some of the mask mandates in LA are going to be adjusted as Temps warm up and young kids are back playing summer sports.
No inside information on my part, just my conjecture

Trust me, the state of Louisiana despises these damn masks. Baseball announcers, like all other media, have to mention these things. This is not a reflection of LSU or the state of Louisiana.
