It all comes down to the Egg Bowl...momentoftruth87 mentioned 10 win seasons in another thread and it started me thinking...we haven't had very many of them...we're 8-1, and we ain't beating Alabama...the remaining two games will be Arkansas and State...it will be very tough to win in Fayetteville, but we do have State at home, so if we win that one that puts us at 9-3. Now the kicker will be if Kiffin coaches the bowl game with a chance to get to 10 wins, or will he go ahead and head for the Plains.

Two 10 win seasons in a row at Ole Miss sends two very clear messages.

1) A coach can win at Ole Miss. Winning 10 games means you are getting really close to some pretty lofty goals.
2) The other side of the coin. Another school will believe (and rightfully so) that any coach who can win 10 games 2 years in a row at Ole Miss could do even more at a school with better opportunity. Who gets what message?

If he's anything like Merlin, he'll leave after the Egg Bowl.

Kiffin’s already measuring the drapes for his new office in his brand spanking new $100M football facility
