Kiffin Presser

It is interesting to me how much Kiffin fawns about Saban in the first part of this video. It's pedantic and almost scripted. My guess is that it had to be scripted because Kiffin doesn't play a good sycophant.

It's clear that Saban has told his coaches something to the effect of: "Look, you guys come and go, but I'm going to be here for the long haul. So don't let your personalities get in the way. All the success gets credited to me."

That's a certainly a good strategy for Alabama "The Brand". Though as an opponent, I'll admit it seems very narcissistic.

(Before you slam my assessment, watch the video.)

Sounded like he just recognized Saban was the greatest football coach since Bryant to me.

Strange that Pete Carroll never offered Kiffin a chance to join him.

What exactly were you wanting him to say?

Do you normally say negative things about your boss in public?

Particularly one that has given you an opportunity.

Kiffen was your daddy last year, along with others, and will be again this year.
Deep down you know it. Live with it.

No, I don't. But there's a different in saying something negative and "laying it on" like Kiffin did in his presser. His opening statements were odd enough to be noticeable, that's all. It's clear PR coaching as to "The Brand".

Barners hate knowing that Kiffin is a better offensive mind than their "Mad Scientist"

Kiffin's Offense in 2014 with RB converted to QB Blake Sims at QB:
Off TDs - 67
PPG - 36.9
Total Pts - 517
Total Yards - 6783

Malzahn's Offense in 2014 with Heisman Finalist Nick Marshall at QB:
Off TDs - 55
PPG - 35.5
Total Pts - 461
Total Yards - 6305
