Not that it means anything, but my brother works in the Ole Miss athletic department and according to him, speculation is that he would take the Miami job if offered. FSU and Florida are dumpster fires and the potential to pull a Schnellenberger and dominate recruiting in the state of Florida could quickly bring the U back to the forefront of CFB.
Additionally, Kiffin is supposedly a pretty big lover of deep-sea fishing, something he could do pretty often if living in Miami.
I personally hope he stays at Ole Miss - having him in the SEC is good for the league and Ole Miss is the perfect spot for him to crank out occasional 10-11 win seasons with little to no pressure. Plus SEC coeds are the best.

I am infinitely more worried about a school in Florida plucking him from Oxford, than I am LSU, USC, etc. doing the same. He does indeed love deep sea fishing and I don't think Lane likes the cold weather.

Maybe UCLA. Maybe Florida. Certainly would leave for a Notre Dame or Alabama type. But if he leaves in the next year or two it’s probably for the NFL.

I can't keep up with where Kiffin is going at this point.
Is he still going to Baton Rouge? Or is it Gainesville? Is he returning to Los Angeles?

Would be crazy to take Miami job. Winning at a private school is not sustainable.

People that have a lot of money often own second homes. Mike Leach has a house in the Keys. Saban has a lake house. I'm sure most of the other HCs who aren't in their first or second yr as HC own a second house for recreation.
