It has reshaped their budget. Part of the sustainability for all these teams who do so much bidding to field a team is the cost of doing business in NIL in the long run. In the black bear's case, they have no choice, they can't get the recruits they want from recruiting. Dabo, on the other hand, is fielding a top team without a single transfer. Has he reinvented the wheel just by doing it old school?

The big boys are still dealing the cards as the bottom dwellers try to buy their way to the top. Should be a fun year.

Well, to be fair, Bear Bryant bought his way to the top. That's how it's done. That's how a state school in the backwaters of Alabama became good at football.

So did Johnny Vaught. And Coach Bryant owned him.

Yeah, that 1 game advantage is really something.

Bryant was always too scared to play against Vaught. Only 2 coaches had a winning record against Vaught, Bryant (1 game: 7-6-1) and Gen Neyland (1 game: 3-2).

55-9-2. I'm sure that rivalry has kept BAMA coaches up at night through the decades. If not for racism, Johnny Vaught would be an afterthought in college football history.

Bryant won 7 against Vaught. Vaught won 6 against Bryant. They tied once.

Clemson has gotten worse every year in the NIL era.

Offensively, yea he’s pretty good at X’s and O’s. It’s in game decisions that cost him. Also. Anybody talking about his defense? He hasn’t stopped anybody in his tenure.

They finally have some dudes on D. OM doesn't need to be top 10 on the D, just better than avg, and if they can be good up front, they are going to be trouble!

Kiffin's biggest problem is he does not have Texas A&M to take a massive shite on while taunting them and talking shite to them this season.

His old buddy that he hates even more than Jimbo is down the road in Starkville this year.... Hold the popcorn on the shite talk

Ole Miss, outside of my Sooners, is the most interesting team to watch this year. LOADED with talent, however a lot it is portal talent. What happens when shyt hits the fan? Will there be enough chemistry to push thru? I think Ole Miss and Mizzou's, to a little lesser extent, strategery of going all in with the portal could reshape CFB for years...

Light early schedule with enough meat on the bone to get a little bloody will help chemistry most likely.
