So answer the question, are playing those two teams from the ACC/B12 the same as playing the equivalent W/L teams in the SEC or not? Does Kiffin make a valid point or are those away games they play just as hard with just as much talent?

For one, this is the college football playoffs, not the talent playoffs. You’ve also lost to bad talented teams so how do you know a ACC/Big 12 team couldn’t beat you or isn’t deserving? That’s all personal bias and homerism.

Furman 3-8
Middle Tenn 3-8
Wake Forest 4-7
Georgia Southern 7-4
Kentucky 4-7
South Carolina 8-3
LSU 7-4
Oklahoma 6-5
Arkansas 6-5
Georgia 9-2
Florida 6-5
Miss State 2-9
Win/Loss records are the worst of all SoS metrics. Not all 6-5 teams are equal, not all 2-9 teams are equal. Florida is 6-5 on the toughest schedule in college football. Oklahoma is 6-5 on a similar schedule. These are teams that could have a much better record if they were playing schedules like Indiana and other teams.
Ole Miss has played the 25th most difficult schedule in the country. Better than Tennessee, Missouri, Auburn and Texas in conference. Also better than:
Penn St(27), Oregon(35), Indiana(39), Clemson(52), Boise St(68), Notre Dame(73), Miami(81) and SMU(86).
So if you want to narrow it down to just the teams in the top15 of the CFP rankings, there are only 4 teams that have played a tougher SoS than Ole Miss:
Ohio St (15)
Georgia (5)
Alabama (16)
South Carolina (14)
Thus Ole Miss has the 5th most difficult schedule among the top15 teams.
I rate Kiffins comments as accurate.

Remember when he commented on the sec championship game?
I just put all my money on miss state.

SOS is just as bad because it’s determined before any games are played.

The problem Lane has is every team that beat him. All those teams ahead of him would be favored to beat UK, UF, and maybe LSU if they played them this Saturday.
Miami already took UF to the woodshed. It may be a different UF today, but most would still consider Miami the fave if they played again.

Are you? Its based off of preseason rankings. When you get a gift of a high preseason ranking then play 3 powder puffs it’s a clear advantage. Then when you lose to a bad team early like Kentucky it only bumps that team down a few spots.
This is exactly how miss state got to #1 in the playoff poll then fizzled out. They had a generous preseason ranking. It’s why OM is still in the discussion having 3 losses. It’s why Bama is still in the discussion after losing games and to Oklahoma.

Are you arguing playing “down” SEC teams like a 7-4 LSU and 6-5 Florida is the same as ACC and B12 teams? So there’s no difference in playing a 6-5 Boston College vs Florida or a 7-4 Texas Tech vs LSU?
That guy is just a hater.
247 composite talent rankings has LSU at #8 and UF at #12. UK is horrible at #24 in the composite talent rankings.
The SEC is "down" with 14 of the top 26 in 247 composite talent rankings.
Could be inaccurate because of the portal but let's be honest, the SEC just grows even stronger with talent due to the portal.
The overall talent level in the SEC is way ahead of the other conferences.
If the Razorbacks were in the Big 12 they'd be right in the mix for a conference championship game appearance this year. In the SEC, they are bottom dwellers.
It is what it is.

Wrong, you're fricking retarded. They are updated every week as the season gets played.
Shut the frick up if you can't speak on a topic with more intelligence than this.

Boy are you a mad Gump. It’s absolutely from preseason rankings based on coaches and media picks before any games are played.

I don't have any opinion except the "R word" is getting dropped an awfully lot on here recently.

You don't have a remote clue what you are talking about. As in you aren't even remotely close to how SoS works.
You deserve to be throat punched for the level of ignorance you are displaying here.
fricking loser with loser excuses.

Explain how there is a strength of schedule before any games are played

Preseason rankings are usually done on the previous years stats.
They get updated every week as games get played. At this point in the season SoS is based solely on the current years games played. Previous weeks rankings have 0 meaning. Poll rankings have 0 meaning. None of the stuff you mentioned has anything to do with SoS rankings.
Thus, the SoS rankings I quoted are from games played this season. Right now Florida has played the #1 toughest schedule in the country. However, after this weekend I think there is a good chance Oklahoma passes them and will have played the toughest schedule.

Kiffin, just when you think you’ve shut him up, he runs that mouth again.

It’s gonna be very funny when Miss State and Jeff Lebby win this game after these comments.
