This should an interesting story to follow over the next 4-5 years.

Arkansas has put out a few highly ranked QB's over the years (Gary Brashears, Mitch Mustain, Kodi Burns) but never two elite QB's in the same year. Much less two QB's that grew up within 10 minutes of each other. Will they succeed or will they both be busts like the three mentioned above?

Here are the stats for those who are unfamiliar with the two.

Kiehl Frazier -

-Committed to Auburn
-4*, Rivals #89 overall player
-#5 Dual Threat QB
-#1 Player in Arkansas
-Attended Shiloh Christian High School, former home of Auburn OC Gus Malzahn and former Auburn GA Rhett Lashlee

Brandon Allen -

-Committed to Arkansas
-4*, Rivals #180 overall player
-#5 Pro Style QB
-#3 Overall Player in Arkansas
-Attended Fayetteville High School and has basically grown up around the Razorback program as his dad, Bobby Allen, has been on the Arkansas staff for 14 years now.

No matter the arguement you want to make about who is better, each of these players ended up at the perfect schools to tailor to their abilites and both landed with arguably the top two offensive minds in the SEC.

Kiehl has basically been playing in a watered down version of GM's offense at Shiloh for the last few years and Brandon has lived around the Arkansas program learing BP's offense for the last three years.

Needless to say, due to their unique situations, both are probably two steps ahead of where the average freshman QB comes in to a system his first year.

Personally, I think both will be extremely succesful but Kiehl will have the more successful "career" as I think he will probably end up starting at Auburn by the end of this upcoming season. Brandon is going to sit behind Tyler Wilson for the next two years and won't have a real shot at the starting job until what should hopefully be his RS SO year. Brandon may have a more successful season or two once he gets in the lineup but he will be a year or two behind Kiehl in experience.

my belief on that is gonna come down to who maintains a better coheasive O-line and running game during that span.

Probably Kiehl because he'll be starting 3, maybe 4 years.

But Allen may take over after Wilson is gone, so I think he'll have a very good career probably.

I personally think Allen is more college ready, and is a much better passer(it's not really close), but our depth will make him sit a couple years. He's not a bad runner, either.

Hard to say...will depend on what kind of offense and what quality, 2, 3, and 4 years from now. I will go with Frazier...cuz I'm a homer.

Not completely convinced of that...

Zeke Pike will be here as well.

Should be fun to watch. Hopefully they both pan out. Kiehl will need Gus stays at Auburn for 3-4 more years to reach his full potential, IMO.

Yeah I was thinking about including a blurb on the guys coming in behind them.

Auburn has Pike coming in that will push Frazier and Arkansas is by far and away the leader for Austin Allen, Brandon's little brother, who will probably end up higher rated than Brandon by the scouting services.

Kiehl is light years ahead of Pike, Kiehl knows the offense like the back of his hand, and is a much more polished QB. Pike will have to learn the offense completely, and he is a project.

Pike might put a damper on Frazier career. Future WR a la Burns possibly? However, Gus does like to run that BS offense so maybe Frazier wins the job this year.

As for Allen, don't know that he'll ever be the man here, I think Bobby brings in a top QB next year that takes over after Wilson/Mitchell era.

I'll be the first to say that Mitchell will never start at Arkansas. Wilson will start the next two years and then one of the Allen brothers will take over. Both of those kids have a very good insight in to the Arkansas offense already. Having their dad on staff has been a very good thing for Arkansas to say the least.

Doubt it, I think Frazier is a much more college ready QB than Pike. I think it will take Pike a couple years to be a good SEC QB.

Pike is grossly overrated. Frazier will have a lot of yards, and a lot of INT's.

Mitchell will transfer after this season, most likely, or switch positions.

Walker/B. Allen will battle for the starting spot when Wilson is gone.

I think this will be the key for Kiehl. If he stays, he'll be very successful.

I guess the same thing could be said about Allen and Petrino, but I highly doubt Petrino will be leaving before Brandon's Arkansas career is through.

Final Answer: Tossup

That could be the case now but Pike is a big kid and sounds like a quick study. I dont think his plan is to come to Auburn and just ride the pine for 3 years.. I think he intends on getting some playing time.

It will depend on his determination. Im not counting him out of it,

You're links work for me.

Here's another Allen highlight video.

Fayetteville's o-line was horrible last year. How they made it to the state championship game is beyond me.
