But if we kick out Texas, who will remind us that they're the only team, in the history of all sports everywhere in the known universe, to never cheat in any way, form, or fashion?

Missouri.. how else can you explain no championships in any sport over the last 60+ years..
I will say.. I enjoy the villain role. We've always played it, but it's quite a bit different when LSU or Alabama plays the victim compared to Rice or Baylor.

So two teams with a frick ton more success than Texas in the most relevant collegiate sport by a wide margin?

Truth! I was used to it in Big 12 but never expected it coming to SEC.
But Texas is like the Yankees or Dodgers or Cowboys. You either love them or hate them, nothing in between. Means we've done something right.
