They would've won the West in 2012 if not for our lethal combo of Driskel and Muschamp.

Because he has achieved the same results as Les Miles during his time at A&M, and has done so while costing A&M less than LSU on total coaching staff salary?

This is probably the most indefensibly dumb thing I've read on this site. Brava, sweetheart.

Alabama 7-1 2(tie) LSU, Texas A&M 6-2 (tiebreakers only apply when selecting Division representative for the title game) Do you ever get tired of being wrong?

Not sure I'd call it respect.. but something is to be said for the valiant effort in fighting over those tie breaker technicalities.

Some throw away the "1st loser to finish" trophy.. and apparently some fight for it.

thats the beauty with the aTm aggies

the aTm football team has not finished better than 3rd in the Big 12 South or SEC West in 18 years

and predictably, the aggies are arguing they tied for 2nd two of those 18 years

So that replacement candidates will know they will get paid handsomely if the come to A&M and win...and maybe even if they sort of win. Kind of the same reason you tip the valet at both ends when you're rich and don't want your Mazerati damaged. Kind of hard to appreciate the concept if you're not rich.

Funny how conservative Aggy is, but she's OK with a public employee's salary being so inflated in spite of mediocre job performance.

Pretty sure we tied for first in 2010.

Tiebreaker 1 - Head to head: A&M beat OU, OU beat Oklahoma State, Oklahoma State beat A&M

Tiebreaker 2 - Record vs. Division: All three schools went 4-1.

Tiebreaker 3 - Record vs. North Division: All three schools went 2-1.

Tiebreaker 4 - Record vs. Common North Opponent: There was not one common opponent between the three schools. A&M beat Nebraska, lost to Missouri. Oklahoma State lost to Nebraska. Oklahoma lost to Missouri.

Tiebreaker 5 - BCS Ranking. Oklahoma was ranked the highest of the three schools. However, had Oklahoma and Oklahoma State been one place apart, Oklahoma State would have been eliminated based upon the 2008 Texas rule and A&M would then have been the representative based on the head to head result.

A&M tied for first the same way texas tied for first in 2008: Both schools didn't go to the title game in favor of an Oklahoma team that we beat.

Or have you forgotten:

In 2010, A&M beat both teams playing in the Big 12 title game, just like in 2008 when texas beat both Oklahoma and Missouri.

I know it's difficult for you to comprehend but 5 mil/year is not very much here in college station.

That amount is probably spent weekly here in random construction projects across campus alone.

Don't forget Taylor Bertolet missing 2 Field Goals and a PAT against LSU (lost by 5)

Guess we'll find that out after next year, when you are faced with buying out Sumlin's contract for (what is it?) $15 million-$20 million.

P.S.: That construction you're referring to is something funded by the oil money. You can't use the oil money on athletics in any way, shape or form (unless you integrate a student or scholastic facility within the athletics facility).

Col. Aggie Lobotomy is also quick to point out an asterisked wall way inside the athletics compound not in public view, which was used as inspiration in the 2008 national title race. Something that aggy knows nothing about.

He is a good coach probably deserves it. He just happens to coach in a shithole that will never be a major player no matter how much money they spend.
