Manziel really brought that Aggie D to another level!

Whatever you say. You seem to be able to justify anything.

COY 3 of the last 5 years and your response is, "well, without ______ & _______ he wouldn't be a very good coach"

It wasn't as big of a deal as the media would have you believe. For ESPN to boost ratings, Manziel needs to be perceived as Public Enemy #1.

Regarding the Honor Code, let's all recall the facts here:

1. A&M fans didn't bring up the Honor Code to act holier than thou for no reason.

2. An ESPN reporter brought it up to rub it in Sumlin's face during a press conference.

3. Now it is something that people use to rip on A&M for.

4. So A&M fans are forced to defend it. Some Aggies really do take it seriously, and get worked up over it. But let's get real here, the Honor Code isn't going to be 100% airtight when you have a campus of 50,000 students.

Back to Sumlin, I think he handled the situation pretty well.

I graduated in 1999. During that time, and before I even got to A&M, the honor code was never touted as some sort of holier-than-thou moral high ground. That was t.u. and other SWC programs finding a reason to pound on A&M and guilt us into not cheating like they were. Now that ESPN is harping on it, that tells me ALL I NEED TO KNOW about who is behind all the negative reporting on JFF

ignoring the slight swc jab, that was actually a pretty decent response, kaiser.

I like how Sumlin said the penalty was the reason Manziel didn't go back in. A&M got the ball back with a 21 point lead at 2 minutes. He wasn't going back in any way.

This. I'll admit I like Sumlin as a head coach.

But exceeding expectations the way aTm did combined with Johnny's performances won this award.

Some credit is due to Sumlin. Not all of it IMO

Charles Allen Wright, two-time Texas graduate, was the chairman of the NCAA investigative committe when we got sanctioned. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but that seems a bit fishy.

Hard not to agree with that. No one expected the year we had last year, and most of that is on Manziel.

Are you actually implying the University of Texas would treat its conference brethren unfairly?

You were cheating and paid the price.

Arkansas didn't have to cheat to dominate you.

never would I imply something like that. They single-handedly saved the big 12. Just ask them

Thoroughly enjoyable PC.
