Hate to break it to ya, but all stadiums will have major sponsorships for naming rights soon.

So it's just the field being named and not the whole stadium?

No clue but it seems like it would bee Kroger Stadium if it was the whole thing. I could be wrong though.

Ugh Kroger would be so lame. Makers Mark would be legit but not sure SEC would allow them to have the naming rights.

Not unless you're an established program with a rich tradition.

When I first saw this I thought it was Papa Johns considering how pissed he is at UofL right now.

Checks out.

And if it means more money for the program than so be it. Hopefully it's just Kroger Field at Commonwealth Stadium but whatever.

Don't think that'll ever happen unless we build a new arena.

At least Kentucky fans can have a pipe dream of some cool bourbon-named stadiums.

Auburn has Yellawood to look forward to if you're right.

I find it funny that Mizzou fans are talking shite about Kentucky being poor considering we are much more profitable then them. We are #2 in basketball behind Louisville who scammed the state for the Yum Center. TV money is probably about to pop...it is was discussed that UK is looking ahead instead of banking the SEC TV revenue that probably dries up in the future (look at the cluster at ESPN and cord cutting).

i'm not knocking it; I mean a lot of colleges are being whores these days. probably most of the big football and basketball ones anyway.
