Tiger Rant Lexington Hype Thread

Hey Cats, I wanted to get your advice on what else to do on game day, since I rarely go to UK Football games. If nothing else, help flex Lexington/Central KY for the Tiger fans that will be traveling up here this fall.

Being that it’s the only UK home game during Keeneland’s fall meet, and will likely be the first time since October 2019 that it’ll be 100% capacity for fans, it’s setting up to be a wild weekend. I really want LSU fans to experience this rare opportunity.

When in Lex, I like to venture over to West Sixth and do the brewery tour (they’re planning on starting those back up over the summer). Especially in the cooler months. Might be worth a mention.

And I hope your prediction of 100% capacity is correct!

If you come up through Paducah I'll take you to see the quilt museum.

There is no better overall game day experience in the SEC than UK when Keeneland is running for a night kickoff.

Up early and over to the track for coffee, bloody Mary’s with girls all dressed up for the races. Watch the horses run with beautiful weather generally that time of year until it’s time to switch gears.

Leave the track, change, get lunch and over to tailgate for the afternoon while watching the other games. Plenty of the best possible bourbon with people who know how to have a good time and who aren’t too worried about the actual game because they are basically there to have a good time. Very friendly fans.

Head to the stadium to watch a much improved UK team under the lights. Stadium is nice after renovations and has everything you will need.

Did I mention the women at UK are highly underrated?

Bottom line, I’ve been almost everywhere for some of the best matchups the conference can offer, and while the football focused game day element might be better elsewhere, when you add in the morning/early afternoon at the track I can’t recommend it enough.

All state schools are factories. It's science.

100% agree. Lexington on a Keeneland plus UK football Saturday is hands down the best total gameday experience in the SEC. Anyone who says otherwise has never experienced one.
