That's a lie our quarterback transfer to a&m and he was most of the production
It’s a weighted average based on how much returning production at a position affects team success
Here is the formula: LINK
Also, let’s not act like losing Max Johnson mattere

Which was like 3 guys.
A lot of that returning production lost their jobs to transfers and freshmen.

Well that's not true, at all. LSU lost 10 players to the draft and had several other potential starters or contributors (McGlothern/Ricks/Johnson/Palmer) leave in the portal.
That being said, the OP is dumb. Dykes is the clear Coach of the Year.

Winning the east is impressive?
I mean, teams from the East have already beaten the PAC-12 champion and the ACC champion and will likely beat the Big 10 champion as well.

So going from 6 regular season wins to 9 regular season wins is COTY worthy to you?

Best 4 loss team in the country

Looking at the link, the formula doesn't make much sense.
LSU had 3,308 passing yards last year and lost Max Johnson who had 2,815 of those yards.
LSU had 1,482 rushing yards. Lost Tyron Davis-Price (1,003 yards) and Corey Kiner (324 yards).
Receivers almost all returned (except for 324-yard Trey Palmer).
On defense:
The linebacker who lead the team, by far, in tackles was in the draft. The best defensive tackle went pro. All the cornerbacks were gone.
On special teams, the All-American kicker gone to the draft.
So how do you lose almost the entirety of your passing and running production, a large chunk of the defensive production, and all of the kicker scoring and get to 63%?

Why is it flawed, Metry?

Every advanced stat formula is flawed though. There’s no perfect formula but they try to make it as accurate as possible. This one does a good job.

Opinions can differ, I get that.
But just do a side-by-side of the returning contributors by LSU and Georgia. It is ludicrous to suggest LSU had more returning:
QB: LSU had 300 passing yards from a backup returning. Georgia had all of Stetson's production returning.
RB: Georgia had about 700 yds rushing back, LSU about 150.
Receiving: Both had most returning.
O-line: Not sure about Georgia, but LSU had 4 new starters.
D-line: LSU returned more, I would guess, but Georgia did return at least Walker.
LB: Georgia with Smith, LSU lost top tackler.
DB: Georgia returned more.

You still haven’t read the article
What lol? We started 2 ILBS with no experience this year.
We lost our top 4 tacklers homie. And 7 of our top 8.
Did we? We lost our #1 safety, #1 CB, #3 CB, and #3 Safety

Oh the horror of back to back 6 win seasons. This is why tRant can't seem to get a handle on Tennessee fans right now. Your perspectives (not you personally) are so skewed about what true football hell is that you think back to back bowl eligibility is rock bottom.

Kelly's a good hire and he'll probably win a COTY one day but I'm not sure you should be winning anything when you only got as far as 4 losses.

LSU lost #1 CB, #2 CB, #3 CB, #4 CB, so every corner who played this season was new. Starting free safety made 16 tackles last year.
