Riley can pretty much recruit whatever QB he wants bc of his resume coaching 2 heisman winners. His wide open offensive game plan is taylor made for todays game and rules. That paired with LSU defensive talent would be deadly. Riley actually competed against Georgia in that playoff game. Kelly has stunk in all his.
Kelly has also competed with Georgia both times he faced them.
I personally think Lincoln is overrated as an offensive mind, his offense has the tendency to disappear for stretches during the year against paltry competition.

Kelly runs an O much more similar to Jimbo.
Sidewalk, we don’t agree on much but we both agree that O is out dated.
That's really the only thing that worries me about Kelly, it does appear that he won't be running the offense however.

Riley wasn’t a smokescreen. He wanted out of OU. He had interest in LSU. How much. Who’s to tell. He picked USC. Im not sure why and I laughed when he did it bc we are rivals of course. But I think he messed up. From what I’m hearing his wife might have pushed him for the LA gig.
Would you prefer to live somewhere in LA or in Baton Rouge?

Wtf has Jimbo done at A&M? A program that celebrates nonstop being the first team left out of the playoffs in 2020 as their best and most successful year so far under Jimbo, wants to try and ridicule BK for losing despite actually making multiple playoff appearances. The way A&M celebrates not making the playoffs makes you think they’d piss their pants in excitement at the idea of losing a few playoff games…

Baton Rouge isn't attractive to young coaches that have children. This is reason why Riley took the job out West. What do those three HCs Miles, Orgeron, and Kelly have in common? All three are much older men with no young children. That makes it more ideal for places like Baton Rouge! Boom!

Jimbo also has a NC. Brian Kelly will never get closer than 4 touchdowns of winning one of those.
LSU won a natty with a coach who isn’t qualified to even be a Power 5 coordinator.
It’s not the coach, it’s the school. Doesn’t even matter if you have the better coach. You’re A&M

Sounds like Jimbo for the past 8ish years

Y’all’s selective memory is fun to watch.

Your delusion is fun to watch. Off-season message board championships don’t equal success on the field pal, you seem to be confused about how shitty A&M has been in real life under Jimbo. Congrats on the recruiting class though

So you're saying LSU has no young coaches with children?
Wut?

Also, sorry to break your narrative but both Saban and Miles had young children while they were coaching at LSU.

quote:He has greatly enhanced the recruiting profile, and the program at A&M. Has he won yet? No, but QB was a massive deficiency last year, and Fisher had to change his offense after the starter went down. Addressed that this off-season. Defense is great. OL is going to be much better this year. QB will be many times better. The time is coming that Fisher must win - but getting the talent level up to snuff was first, especially in the trenches. Every position on the field will be better this year due to depth and competition. I am expecting great things these next few years. A&M is a QB away
Wtf has Jimbo done at A&M?

Texas A&M already looks like one. Should be used to it.

Yet Jimbo has still done nothing but waste talent at A&M, he and A&M will be averaging and choke again this year. Like clockwork

What did he change? It looked the same to me.

He had to change the entire offense when King went down. No dual threat, just Calzada back pedaling from the snap of the ball. Nobody in CS misses the starter …

Jimbo never has really utilized many designed quarterback runs in his offense so I'm still not really seeing how he "changed the entire offense."

With King there were a lot of QB rollouts - kid is better on the edge. The one game we played with Calzada that way was Alabama. But obviously Calzada was hurt after that, and Fisher had to protect him. That won’t happen this year. We will see what the offense looks like

I saw them roll out Calzada quite a bit, even a weird roll out to the left against LSU on 3rd or 4th and short.
Was a terrible situational play call.
