ND wanted to keep Freeman. Kelly did ND a favor by leaving.

Yes Sidewalk

When the school you are coaching makes no real attempt to keep you from leaving. That’s a sign they were not concerned with losing him.

Jimbo 1, duh
Lincoln 2, used you
Aranda, the one you should have got. I have heard rumors why he was not interested. Let’s just say when their entire athletic department got hit with tons of corruption. Yeah, Aranda knew about it and wanted no part of it.

I’m sure your AD reached out to others as well. I doubt Jelly (He’s just jelly looking when he’s dancing with recruits) was top 5 on his list. He just made a rash decision when Lincoln stood him up at the alter and wanted to have a guy prior to the 1st signing period.

ND is off to a great start recruiting with Freeman, who is already showing to be a much more competent recruiter than Kelly. Apparently all you have to do to recruit to ND (or LSU) is keep your little pee pee to yourself. Who knew?

Aggies are just bitter they bought their coach and that didn’t work so now they bought this recruiting class and they’re praying that works. But we all know what’s going to happen

Where's your proof?

The majority of that class committed under Kelly.

the difference is he can get the athletes at LSU while he didn't have that at ND. it's not hard to see he's a great coach, but was limited at ND with the caliber of athlete.

Idk if it will result in one, but you can tell how hungry he is for a MNC. There will be no lack of motivation on his part.

I certainly hope so. Recent history would indicate that he'll get a chance at a title if he's here for a few years, I just think it's hard to expect much improvement this season. Him and Denbrock need a tight end for their offense, and we don't have one, and the offensive line had been bad to mediocre for years.

“Where’s your proof?”

This right here Sidewalk is why no one takes you serious.

Everyone knows Jimbo was the top target for several months by your AD. I lost track of how many LSU homers were stating things in the media that Jimbo should go to LSU. Blah blah blah. It was comical. And everyone knows Riley left them at the alter.

But you state, where’s the proof.

Because I ask you to back up your statements with actual proof?

"Everyone knows" and "LSU homers were stating things in the media" aren't proof of who Scott Woodward was actually targeting.

LOL WUT

OK will go with you.

Jelly was the number one and only target all along! Makes total since Woodward would want him over the other coaches that declined him. It’s fun living in fairy tell world. All the media talking about these other coaches being targets was just a smokescreen. I’m glad this was your ADs target. Those other 3 would have killed it at LSU and there is no way they would have said no. So I’m so so happy your AD did not want them. Thanks Woodward!!

Nice melt and strawman argument.

I never said Kelly was the only target, I simply asked who the top 5 was and what was your proof.

It's possible but both Jimbo and Lincoln haven't done much with similar resources.

Aranda basically has one good year, although I would've liked for him to be hired.

I’m agreeing with you Sidewalk. Kelly was clearly number 1. LSU got who they wanted from the start. It’s going to be legendary. Jelly the Yankee Cajun is great!

So since you think Jelly gets credit for ND recruiting better now that he’s gone. Does he also get the credit if ND wins a big game in the future? Just want to make sure I got this down!
