BK only needs another 10 years to get his players and system in place.

Well I can easily disprove that. I am a Bama fan and I honestly think he can get it done.

As was said earlier, we will have a good idea this season. Judging any coach solely on his first season is ridiculous.

Nick Saban and Kirby Smart struggled in their first seasons at Alabama and Georgia. Kirby even lost to Vanderbilt that first season.

Meanwhile Larry Coker went undefeated and won a national championship in his first season. He flamed out and was fired after going 7-6 at Miami and ended his career with a 3-9 season at UTSA.

And should have lost to The Gamecocks at home.

South Carolina ended up shitting the bed against both Alabama and LSU.

Win either one of those and you would have made the playoffs.

I started at Alabama in 1966, and graduated in 74 after a stint in Vietnam, and I have confidence in Kalen to continue our greatness on the gridiron. He may never reach Saban's heights, but he will be a good coach for us, unlike the "Mikes"

Don't like him at all. He's a spineless weasel.

He was only brought in to be Saban's puppet. It was Byrne & Saban's decision. Both should be purged from the Ath dept

What? That doesn't make any sense. Mizzou ended up being ranked higher than LSU in the final poll in the last two years. I am laughing at LSU fans for hiring Kelly and that LSU fans still believe he can win a championship at LSU

Brian Kelly at LSU - .725

Eli Drinkwitz at Mizzou - .613

Do you know that Missouri never recruited well? Until the new transfer rule has been changed and the NIL Drinkwitz has recruited the best recruiting class ever. That started 2 years ago. That is where I would start because the new transfer rule change and NIL started 2 years ago. That changes everything. Mizzou has been winning games and ended up ranked higher than LSU in the last two years when the new transfer rule change a n d NIL took effect. You went back to when Drinkwitz just started at Mizzou and he had one of the worst rosters to start with and his lack of HC experience really isn't the way you compare the two football programs. Mizzou is ahead as of right now.

He took a team riddled with Saban recruits that was a play away from a national championship appearance then went 9-4 with an embarrassing bowl loss.

Did you not get the new transfer rule change and NIL have changed the landscape of college football? Why did you think Nick Saban retired? Plus college football as been more competitive ever than before.

What?! The players were mostly Saban's players. Not all player can adapt to DeBoer's style of play. Then it takes time for players and coaches to gel.
BK had 3 years to get a head start and ended losing 4 regular season games.

I totally get it Alabama fans are happy the Tide only lost 4 games. Very low expectations for 2025.

Quite the opposite.

I'm pretty excited for this season now that the Jalen Milroe era has ended.

Someone pointed out on our board last night that over the final 6 games last season Milroe threw for 1 TD.

Against Mercer.

Just awful QB play.

Not quite true, but close. I checked into that stat and discovered that he threw three touchdown passes in our last six games in 2024: two against Mercer and one against Michigan. But yeah, not good play at all.

Makes you wonder how bad Ty Simpson must be if he couldn't even see the field.
