As an lsu fan this comment confirms that you could be 9 or 90 years old.
Childish at any age.
What’s your excuse when Bama stomps another mud hole in your asses next year?
I know I’ve heard it before and will again.

This can’t be a good thing right?

For Alabama? Maybe not.
For LSU? Definitely not.

Kalen DeBoer's new contract details on buyouts:

If he gets fired without cause (90% of remaining compensation), he's owed:
On Feb. 1, 2027: $67.5 million
On Feb. 1, 2028: $56.25 million
On Feb. 1, 2029: $45 million
On Feb. 1, 2030: $33.75 million
On Feb. 1, 2031: $22.5 million
On Feb. 1, 2032: $11.25 million

If he leaves, he owes UA:
Before Feb. 1, 2027: $10 million
Before Feb. 1, 2028: $8 million
Before Feb. 1, 2029: $6 million
Feb. 1, 2029-Jan. 31, 2033: $0

One small contract change for Kalen DeBoer: he gets more jet time.

DeBoer received an increase from up to 30 hours under his previous deal to up to 55 hours per year of personal, non-business travel

Whale, whale, whale.

Look who crawled out of his fricking hiding place after vanishing once LSU baseball hit the gutter.

You fricking pussy.

Why did Bama feel that he was owed a extension? He certainly hasn't lived up to the Bama standard so far.

No idea. I wasn’t in the room.

He made the playoffs in Year Two while turning over the roster to fit his scheme offensively and defensively.

He's a good recruiter.

Year Three will tell the tale.

The goofy thing is y'all just made it that much harder to fire him, if it doesn't work out, for no reason.

If it goes off the rails no amount of buyout money will stop the university from getting rid of him.

Maybe, but why make the buyout bigger for no reason? That's A&M in 2021 levels of ineptitude, but at least they did finish top 4.

This just seems like Jimmy Sexton doing Jimmy Sexton things.

Just really weird timing for this to be happening in April when no one is looking to hire a coach. Usually Sexton pulls this stuff during the coaching changes season

If the alternative was losing him to a school like PSU or Michigan, what choice did they have?

First, who would we have even hired if KDB left when Michigan was looking for an HC?

Second, KDB leaving would have completely blown up the program and it probably would have taken like 3 years to recover.

He's got things moving in the right direction but still a lot to prove this year.

Today was just the BoT meeting to approve raises/extensions for several coaches/staff across the athletic department. It's likely this deal was negotiated a while ago.

Didn't LSU just sign a coach who has never won a single power 5 championship of any kind to a seven-year, $91 million guaranteed contract , and is paying their previous fired head coach a $54 million dollar buyout?

Wow, that was some serious deflection!

Fact is, Bama just messed up.

Kentucky: We're going to sign some fricking stupid extensions.

Bama: Hold my beer.
