Milroe isn't a great QB and likely never will be. He was a band-aid at best last year till Bama can replace him with a better one. Simpson should be the starter this fall. If Milroe wants to play in the NFL, he should have took Bill O'Brien advice instead of coming up with a weak acronym of LANK.
Milroe can be a really good quarterback, he needs to work on his pocket presence though. He also needs to have better anticipation of when to scramble.
He seems desperate to prove that he can be effective as a pocket passer and thus doesn't always take easy running lanes when they're available.

you mean there are actually people that expect this coach, any coach, to win as much as the greatest coach ever in college football won ?
not likely
These idiots thinks it’s a good critique to say “DeBoer won’t win as much as Saban! Durr hurr.” Like any of their coaches - or anybody’s coach - has won like Saban did. It’s a testament to Bama’s superiority for most of the last century that this is even an argument. However, I’m going on record saying DeBoer is going to surprise and shut a lot of people’s mouths. Bookmark it.

The only recruiting the head coach has to do is play nice with the boosters and make sure they spend. Saban had a well oiled machine ready for DeBoer when he stepped in the door. Yeah, bama still spends.
The question is what happens when DeBoer loses a game, when he doesn't win the conference, when he misses a playoff... then that booster money is going to start coming with far more qualifications. Can DeBoer crack the whip like Saban? Many coaches have recruited well and gone down in flames because they couldn't.
Time will tell.

Just wait until the guy can’t win at the same clip as Saban.
I think fans will be satisfied if DeBoer is as competitive as LSU has been over the last 15 years

According to 247 team rankings, Alabama at #3, with three 3 stars, so apparently 247 isn't sure themselves....

Deboer will be a better X&Os coach than Saban. He'll take lesser talent and do more with them.
There it is!

First it was DeBoer wouldn't be able to recruit in the south. mass exodus of talent after Saban, etc.
Now that he's hauling in recruits and keeping 'Bama in the top 3 in the recruiting rankings, all of a sudden it's because of Saban/'Bama's legacy, and nothing to do with what the coach and his staff are doing.
I hope there are enough hoops left for you guys to jump through and explain away if 'Bama has a good/great/championship season this year. Looking forward to it.

To me, the biggest question DeBoer will answer this year is how he performs without Inge, Morrell, and Grubb.
Morrell followed him to Alabama. He’s just support staff now.

Maybe you should read it again for clarification.

DaBear has still done nothing of note in his new job. The fact that gumps feel the need to start a new thread about recruiting on this board every week just shows how insecure you really are about the coaching change. Time will tell whether he ends up being a good hire or not. In the meantime, you can’t blame fans of other programs assuming he won’t be as good as tGOAT. You would be better off preparing yourself for that likely reality too.

TDIR
You’re setting yourself up for failure. The “Saban Effect” will wear off sooner than later.
We ALL know it

The only ones I've seen saying that 'Bama fans believe DeBoer will be as successful as Saban are corndogs like yourself.
Any other pretend narratives you'd like to perpetuate?

But LSU has won only about 33 games in the last 4 years so that won’t cut it at Alabama

Very doubtful.
