AT this point, Sideways, it's best to just hunker down, shut your mouth, and let it all just play itself out!

You put some work into this post, didn’t you?

So why have you been all over this board for weeks talking about who your new HC was? You folks just won't learn when to STFU! You're always doing this to yourselves. At least Miss Billie T has sense enough to run off and hide for a while after she's been embarrassed. Y'all could learn something from her.

This is an SEC discussion board, I'm simply discussing SEC coaching news on it, friend.

Sorry that gets your panties in a wad.

I'm not fussing at you, comrade! I'm simply counseling you. I'm concerned for your good name and reputation on the board, and can see it really slipping because of all this "couching trauma".
Hang in there, and let me know if I can be of any help.

Woodward isn't trying to keep things close to the vest. He is. No one knows anything.

Maybe, maybe not. I mean we know LSU wanted Lincoln Riley and was offered. We know (supposedly) Wednesday will be an announcement. There is a lot out there that a lot of people are overlooking.

I mean it's LSU fans saying they know these things.

Don't be surprised when new coach is named that it's someone that was hardly mentioned or even mentioned at all previously.
That would not surprise me at all. In fact, I will be shocked if he has been mentioned by name.....especially if an announcement is made on Wednesday.

If he is announced on Wednesday that pretty much eliminates NFL coaches and coaches still in the running for the playoffs, right?

Maybe....but even they would be more apt to wait until their team is eliminated. I am trying to think of some that were in the running for the playoffs that announce before hand. Seems like Alabama had one several years ago and Saban told him him to go. Kiffen, maybe?

And Kirby stayed through the championship game, but was announced. Maybe you are right.

He could probably win a title at LSU but I'd melt.

We "think" we know woodward offered riley. How bout this situation. After first meeting with riley's agent woodward realized riley wanted no part of the SEC and was likely headed to SC. It benefitted both parties to link riley's interest in LSU. riley's agent and sc could talk, no pressure. Woodward could go about quietly searching for his new coach.

Looks like Aranda is doubling down on staying at Baylor:

quote:

@ drakectoll

Dave Aranda when asked about other jobs:

"I’ve spoken with the team twice about my quirkiness and why that fits well here. I’m hopeful that we're past some of that speculation that I'm being tied to other jobs."

The most clear message he’s given — he is staying at Baylor.
