You're asking football players not to make plays because they may get flagged. That is where we are headed and it's a problem.

Sorry RB10...didn't realize you were talking about the other (Auburn) hit. But yeah, the Auburn hit was no doubt targeting. He led and hit him with his helmet. The difference is White led and hit him with his hands first and then pushed him to the ground.

Better solution: Quit telling the referees that if they aren't sure it should be flagged.
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

It was a tough call, a borderline call, but targeting is a nebulous rule, and as of now, it is whatever they think it is
Don't give them a reason

Watch the back of Fitzgerald's helmet in relation to the fan in the background. Fitzgerald's head does not move when White's hands land on his chest, but Fitzgerald's head explodes backwards as soon as White's helmet lands on Fitzgerald's chin!

Wait, you mean his head didn't move when it wasn't touched initially?
Well, that's as clear of evidence of targeting as I've ever seen. Time to shut it down.

Hey buddy. Call the hospital. You’re having a stroke.

Point is if he was shoving with his arms you would have seen Fitzgerald's head move. Looks to me like White was holding him still so he could deliver a blow with his helmet.

Oh my God. This is the best one yet.
White grabbed Fitzgerald as a means to deliver a full speed running headbutt y'all. He should be arrested for assault.

If by explodes backwards you mean stayed completely in line with his torso...then yea...

you have to be legitimately concerned for people who actually think that was targeting AND have read the rule. it takes serious denial
STILL no conclusive video evidence of h2h...

Dude - you are smoking crack - the call was not made because he led with the crown or any other party of the helmet you dumb arse - that was not the basis of the call whatsoever.
