I'm not going to acknowledge he's a classy guy, because I think he's a smarter version of Hugh Freeze. College football in general is not a nice business. It's a sport of greed and ego. And, to me, being the head coach of a major P5 college football program doesn't jive with that aw shucks schtick of his. So yeah I think he's a total phony.

History would strongly suggest otherwise.
LSU has made the championship game 4 times in the last 18 years, winning 3 of them. They have 5 SEC championships so far this century, which is only 1 behind Bama, if I'm not mistaken.
Coach O is national coach of the year, is recruiting extremely well, and LSU undoubtedly gets a big boost off a truly historic season.
You made a pretty foolish statement, pal.

I don’t really understand people that are saying this. LSU was never really that “down” either under Miles, you just needed a spark to get past Alabama. You guys have a monopoly on a big state of football talent, elite facilities and huge fan support. Any season that’s not contending for titles is a failure at LSU.
