No we opened the door with the women's baseketball and track stuff along with the Nutt staff's ACT debacble. Then Freeze hits on the 13 class. Everyone assumes OM is cheating.
Tunsil's step-dad gives them 20+ hours of information. Everything they could prove was in the first NOA. (Most found by OM and given to the NCAA). Most aggregioius was Tusil's step-dad asking for money.
So NCAA didn't find the "smoking gun".
Draft night happened,
NCAA opens up investigation because of Tunsil.
Nothing in 2nd NOA is about Tunsil. They couldn't find anything.
So to save face the NCAA starts throwing around immunity like condoms at a an STD convention and have a very questionable source give up 90% that is in the 2nd NOA.
Basically it was a witch hunt but the witch hunt would have never started if we hadn't gotten them to campus for other reasons. So us being idiots is partially to blame.

So they have proof that one recruits guardian was demanding money and statements from a 2nd recruit that corroborate that, along with other violations. Yet, in your opinion, the NCAA is grasping at straws.

Shady shite has been alleged way back to the Blind Side days with his connections to OM. He was at OM in Orgeron's regime, Ed O brought in a lot of talent. He was employed by OM (director of recruiting?) when the academic fraud occurred under Hootie Nutt.
Then he gets to be the HC in his own right and now we see +20 Level 1 infractions, and Hugh staring at a Failure to Monitor while damn near 75% of his staff has been purged including an Asst AD who finally had to be canned for his shady shite.

There has never been an institution with as many Lvl 1 violations as what Ole Miss currently has levied against them.
Ole Miss will not get a 2yr bowl ban. It will likely get a 5yr bowl ban.
