Auburn did score in the redzone, just field goals. Stay on topic

I think we ask an awful lot of our corners.Jackson just flat could not run with Sammie Coates it was a matter of pure speed and no help.

And on some occasions we were in position but did not win the simultaneous possession/jump ball. Give credit to Auburn Marshall was about as hot with the long ball throws as he could ever be, perfect placement.

Our elite offense, pass rush, safeties, process, Ragland all over the place shutting down the box like a motherfricker, etc etc. will make up for that technical weakness

And we have depth at the position. And we can adjust well, as we did Saturday after benching Jackson.
Dont mean to poke holes in your opinion, but elite offenses dont score 14 points against Arkansas or 17 points against LSU.

Also, i dont see how you came to the conclusion that Alabama has an elite pass rush either, but i do agree that Alabama has depth at most positions besides OL

Also, there's not another team out there that can force us to commit so much to stopping the run and then scorch us with the long ball the way auburn did. When you force us to single cover against elite receivers, we are exposed. But against most prolific passing offenses, we can provide enough help with the safeties.

From here out, every team we play is good enough to beat us, but none of them are clear favorites over us IMO.

Cook from FSU is better than any RB on Auburn's roster. My fellow Aubies may not agree with me about that, but its true. That kid is an absolute beast

Why only field goals? Several passes were attempted. Did Auburn beat themselves?

Really doesn't bother me that much for some reason.

Btw, FSU is 80th, at 246 yards per game. Oregon is in the 120's. And TCU is in the 100's. So, whatever.

Maybe. I think it was the threat of Marshall taking off that forced us to commit to the run (as well as the controlled pass rush to keep him contained, which is not the same way you would rush most passers).

I guess we'll see.

Don't mean to poke holes, but LSU led the SEC in Defense, and finished the season with the best defense in the Conference.

You are trying so hard. Bless your heart

Duke dropped a TD, Uzomah dropped a TD, and Marshall made inaccurate passes. Dont recall any Bama defender knocking down a pass but you would remember that better than me and Bama stopped the run inside the red zone.

I think the Auburn game proved we have more than enough bullets to be successful in a shootout.

Not really because anybody who has watched your team knows they are much worse away from Tuscaloosa. You would have likely lost to Auburn by 30 or 40 points if the game was actually played in Auburn

there is nothing that hurts me more than this statement, to waste that offense with our crappy D.

Our offense did pretty well against WVU. That was at a neutral site. Thankfully none of the playoff games will be away games.

Could have fooled me. All i remember was LSU fans asking me if it was OK to help roll Toomers Corner after losing 41-7.

What about the secondary? How did they hold up against a Clint Trickett led offense?

I think we surrendered a touchdown to Clint Trickett.
