Go Pro Young man......if Im him Im gone. top 3 WR in this years draft and this is in my opinion the last year for the huge rookie deals. Get the money while you can!

Saban tells them the truth. He told Ingram to go because the life span of RB's isn't long in the NFL. And he should make the money while he can If he thinks Julio should go, he'll tell him to go.

Not yet, I don't think. He's always been a little banged up. He dominated with a broken hand though, so

That's my point. Chances are he'll have something happen to him again next year. It's just the nature of being as physical as he is. Let's say he tries to crack down on a LB and gets rolled up on from behind blowing out his knee. Then he goes from a top 2 rounder to bottom 2 rounder. HUGE difference in money.

True, but I would think the labor dispute will help our chances with Julio. Ingram and Dareus are as good as gone, but I do think there's a decent chance of Julio coming back.

You guys are a bunch of pathetic fricking flamers.

Julio just said he could have a shot at the Heisman, which is true. Most years it just goes to the MVP of the best team. Bama could very well be the best team next year and Julio could be the MVP. He was this year.

Sure, it's not likely, but it is possible. And the NC he mentioned is even more possible. The guy has never done anything but go out and compete and play hard with zero complaints. Yet, you same dumbasses who bashed him before this season (and are eating crow as I predicted) are now jumping on any other little thing you can to belittle him.

How about this, he's a 20 year old with the option of finishing his degree and maybe winning the Heisman (however unlikely that may be) and a second national championship. You're some middle class worker (if you're lucky) hanging out on the internet trying to downplay those accomplishments by that 20 year old - accomplishments that you won't experience in your wildest dreams at night. Who is the the idiot now?

That labor dispute won't be as big a deal as people think. There's way too much money on the line for all involved.

I think the top 10-15 will still get a shitload of money, but Julio may fall to the beginning of the 2nd round. Saban advises players to leave if they're in the top 15, this year.

Saban and a few boosters were at the Grand Hotel in Point Clear with Julio a few weeks ago...they were trying to convince Julio to stay another year.

I think he's likely gone, but Julio marches to the beat of a different drum. He's on record as saying his dream is to own his own landscaping business. I assume after the NFL, but still, he's a pretty humble guy with simple tastes.

That is because his Uncle Sam owns his own Landscaping business..and wants to follow in his footsteps.

Truly an athlete-student. No mention of a degree also being a possible incentive?

i will never understand this argument.. if a kid is 100% obviously going to GET into the NFL, why in the entire universe would he care about a degree compared to making millions if not, hundreds of thousands in NFL?

you can ALWAYS come back to finish a degree... the university isn't gonna sprout legs and run across seas.

Julio is truly one of the good kids in football. You NEVER hear him talking shite. You NEVER hear about him in trouble (minus the whole fishing trip thing). You NEVER see him show boating. He's the type of player everyone wants & needs on their team. I hope he gets every penny he can from the NFL.

He's one of my all-time favorites for that very reason. He really is a team player.

He's a quiet kid, really a good guy from all accounts. I'm really glad he plays for us, definitely a class act.
