Very different, any reason why?

I know he can't have #8 and #82 is taken I think, but #11 is just random.

I hope Namath allows GMAC to wear 12...

They asked him if he was going to try and keep #8 in a interview.

He said, "The number doesn't make the player. The player makes the number."

Also went into how his nickname is "Waffle House" because he is "always open" (I had never heard that)

Crimson Saint,

As a Saints and Tide fan myself, I thought you would like this. It's from a facebook page!

True, but nobody gave up five picks to get him.

CrimsonSaint,

Just out of curiosity, how you did become both a Saints fan and a Bama fan?

I'm from Slidell and still live there and I went to Bama and still go to every home game.

How great was 2009?!?!?!

WHO DAT and RTR!

Is Cam wearing number 1?

I saw some ad that said "buy a Cam Newton Panthers jersey" and it had a number 1 and the one they held up in his press conference had his name and 1 on it

but I didn't know if that was just signifying he was pick number 1

Probably the same jersey from the draft, doubt his number is going to be 1. He said he wants 2 even though Clausen has it.

That would be hilarious and also really sad for Clausen. But still hilarious

Born in LA. Dad went to LSU and my mom is from AL. Mom's parents were big Bama fans while my Dad's parents didn't care about football. When we visited her parents at Christmas and Thanksgiving, football was on. When we visited Dad's parents, football wasn't discussed.

As far as the Saints go, I've always routed for em even when they sucked year in and year out. Dome Patrol baby Dad took me to my first NFL game at the Dome when I was ten or so. Loved em ever since.

I also spent several days there before and after the hurricanes. I slept in the Dome and parking garage. Seen the best and worst at that building.

Got season tickets at both.

And 2009 was phenomenal.
