There appear to be two truths from reading the fan boards: 1: The backup QB is always better than the starter. 2: Our OC/DC sucks and we need to hire a new one who is better.
Bonus truth: My team DESERVES to win the CFB NC every year. If they don't, fire the coach and find the unicorn coach who can.

The best and most honest complaint about Bobo is that he was promoted to OC without the prior experience typically warranted at a top 10 program like UGA.
20 years later, he has the experience and track record. Idiots holding on to that grudge can't think for themselves.
They are the ones who complain about stetson bennett and the head coach/OC who kept putting him out there. And still complained after 1 national championship when he returned to run it back a second time.

Are you joking?
You haven't watched him enough. Eventually you will see the pattern and avoid the show in disgust.
I prefer to watch his previews after the game is played. Pate plays himself every week and never owns up to his lack of knowledge and ability to predict how a game plays out.

Wallowing in mediocrity miserable. Recognizing that there is always room for improvement is just natural for most people.
I think Bobo was OC at Georgia when I was a student there 30ish years ago under Richt. He ran a pedestrian offense then. He went out to Colorado somewhere and failed as a HC. Now he’s back.
In the interim time, we, us perpetual 1980 Georgia won back to back Natties with an OC not named Bobo. Suddenly we can’t beat Notre Dame or Ole Miss in the CFP lately.
I believe personnel matters. And we can do better in the OC department.

I don't know if he was a student at UGA. I don't know if he was a student at UGA in 2001 or in 2006 or 2007.
But let's look at what we do know.
1. Richt didn't hire Bobo as OC 30 years ago because Mark Richt was only hired less than 26 years ago.
2. Richt didn't hire Bobo as his OC 25 plus years ago. He hired Bobo as his QB coach. He hired Neil Callaway as his OC and OL coach. Technically though, Richt was the OC and playcaller for the offense.
3. In late 2006, vs. Ga Tech, Richt handed playcalliing duties over to Bobo.
4. In the off season, perhaps feeling slighted, Callaway left to become UAB's head coach.
5. Richt then named Mike Bobo the OC for the 2007 season.
Those are things we absolutely do know and can verify.
