This is one of the more interesting threads in a long time on the SECr which less than 10% of our members will never see. And that's a shame because this thread delivers.

it's because Dick prefaced it with "hey lemme tell your audience how they can help kids with cancer". Who would say "nope, bye" to that without looking like a bad guy? After Dick got stale with it Jordy did cut him off. That was about as good as he could do.

Since we are inferring so much into Wade’s reported strong offer comment and the “smart” player being Javonte Smart - he’s probably inferring 1) Will wasn’t bidding against himself and 2) Javonte was UK bound before Wade arrived at LSU and 3) Cal was annoyed that Will was beating him at his own game and 4) Cal knew about Shannon Forman and what he was requiring for Smart’s signature.
Don’t only infer into this story what is beneficial to UK.

Yet Smart never had a Kentucky offer. So I dunno where you're going with this. He didn't get a scholarship offer from Kentucky during his official so he took Wades strong arse offer.
