At one time being in Austin was a big recruiting plus

I think another thing that is generally being overlooked is the evolution of television markets.

With the rise of streaming services, the landscape of viewership is changing, and the current model is trending away from traditional terrestrial markets.

A team that used to have a large geographical/captive audience because they were “the only game in town” is no longer able to make that claim.

Other, remote teams can now be popular with viewers, despite being outside of their footprint.

Yeah never got the Austin hype. We go there to visit friends, and its a giant shithole. Hell even the outer suburbs are taken over by trash riddled homeless camps everywhere.

So Rogan moves out there and the homeless camps follow?

Hmmm.

I've never been to Austin, but I have been to LA. Austin sounds like mini-LA East.

That has got to be the fattest RB I have ever seen. Just blew up that DB from Texas.

And when was the last time that Auburn, Florida and Georgia won national championships?

I could see OU doing decent though obliviously they won’t be winning the conference every year like the have in the past. Texas will become the Tennessee of the west for a few extra dollars.

What has Texas accomplished in the Big 12-2? Oklahoma has the trophy case. They are the face of that league nationally and always have been since they came from the Big 8 conference.

Don't try to make them more than their accomplishments.

OU will never join due to SEC competition.

You mean like the competition Fla gave them last year? I'm sure they're still having nightmares about that brutal competition.

Not gonna lie. Joining the Bama plus 13 conference concerns me. But I’m just glad college football is back with fans and aggy tears remain the same
