It’s ok. Ole pisss never plays a solid team game 1 away. You wouldn’t know

ND players are recruited throughout the USA, hence the need to have flexibility to play nationwide

Doesn't the ACC have teams on both coasts and Texas?

Yes. And Georgia means King George but their football program is not referred to as a he.

Notre Dame the cathedral is also an ‘it’ you retard. Unless you are trying to be poetic about it

Hubris is DeBoer going for it from his 12 yard line with 9 minutes left in the game knowing there was no consequence to getting blown out in the game.

Notre Dame confirmed their softness.

They should at least demand to go to the Hawaii Bowl for a free vacation.

Are you really comparing Notre Dame football to CAL & Stanford football.

No it won't. They are still Notre Dame. They are unique in a lot more ways than being Independent.

Georgia was established as a penal colony & the University as a refuge for students unable to get into Notre Dame, Duke, or Vanderbilt. Sorry you are still mad about last year...I heard time heals all wire brushings.

Absolutely pathetic, teams aren't barnstorming cross country on trains anymore. It's about time Notre Dame gets left by the wayside. Program hasn't been relevant in decades.

Is Notre Dame even really still a national brand?

Stanford is probably a good close approximation of where Notre Dame should be, and mostly has been the last 30 years. Sometimes respectable private school. You could be Purdue or Northwestern if you’re not careful. There’s was a lot of that in the last 30 years too. There’s no reason Notre Dame should be propped up and get special treatment to prevent that from happening, and it’s not working anyways. Congrats on inventing the forward pass but we’re not propping up Yale either

Are you really claiming that the Notre Dame brand is bigger... better... too good for, say, the B1G, the SEC or the ACC?

Don't all good football programs pretty much recruit nationally? Don't act like Notre Dame is something special anymore. They aren't.

With the exception of LSU, very few of the SEC teams ever leave the friendly confines of the South to play competitive teams in the West or Midwest

You acknowledge in your thesis that Texas schedules ND plus we have Ohio State and Michigan.

Most recruits are local or from a neighboring state. Very few recruit across the entire country.

I can tell you that Bama’s home and home with Wisconsin is way easier than the “friendly confines” of playing in Athens, Jordan Hare, Death Valley etc etc

TX is new to the SEC. We'll see which way you trend in the future....towards challenging matchups (ND, Mich, OSU) or towards UTEP, UTSA, Rice, and Louisiana.

ND hasn’t been a national brand since ESPN and cable TV made it possible to watch other games.

Who would do better - Georgia playing a barnstorming schedule going to USC Stanford and Navy or Notre Dame playing an SEC schedule in SEC stadiums all year? That’s what I want to see.
