Some guys just now how to fall, how to take a hit without getting hurt. He's also so shifty he avoids the big hits.

He has no more chance of getting hurt than a pocket passer that could get blindsided by a 260 pound DE any given play.

Well he didn't get hurt against LSU, but it's probably not a coincidence that after he got popped a few times in that game he started to play like shite.

This...make him run back and forth, and he has no legs in second half.

Only points I was trying to make are the following:

1. People have said he will get hurt every week, he hasn't. Is it a possibility? Yes, it always is. But just because he is going against another good SEC defense is not a good enough reason for ANOTHER fan base to predict it.

2. He has taken hits and gotten back up and played hard. Tougher kid then many give credit, especially for a freshman his size.

3. Fan Bases that revel in hurting players from other team is a tough issue. Love big hits, but never wish an injury on someone.

We get it that the defenses in the SEC are badass. there is a chance any running QB can get hurt and expose himself. I'd argue though, there are more none running QB's that try and run then get hurt because they aren't used to taking a hit and they go in with a "don't get hurt mentality". JFF is a "tough guy" kid...not to say he'll never get hurt, but this is his game and it's not going to change.............but, please stop with the "he's gonna get knocked the F'k out Saturday" BS.

I'll ban bet, through the season ending, anyone out there that he won't get knocked out of the game Saturday (and not return). Takers?

BAMA boys, you seem to be pretty confident about it all year. Put you account where your mouth is.

Don't think most have given Manziel much thought until this week. I think he will be fine. He will play a good game (most likely every snap) and put up good stats as usual.

Perhaps the most annoying thing about Aggie fans is your need to create these ridiculous straw men with which to argue. It's like you WANT people to hate you (or at least notice you) and if they aren't giving you enough attention you just create the drama yourselves. Very interesting.

JFF is a tough guy crap is old. He's a football player that has been fortunate to not twist a knee, break an ankle or get a concussion.

This is out of control.

I don't think not getting injured is all about being lucky. Some guys are just injury prone (Felix Jones, Demarco Murray) and some guys never seem to get hurt (Farve). I don't think it is all about luck. Some guys are juts built in ways that make it less likely they will get hurt (ie, they don't have fragile knees or ankles), and some guys know how to take a hit (Emmitt Smith). There is a growing body of evidence that JFF is the kind of guy who is not going to be oft-injured. We'll see.

Bama fans should ROOT for JFF not to get injured. Our backup QB is more a prototype QB that could pick Bama apart worse than Mett. He would be the starter for 9-10 other SEC teams.
Bama's best bet is to use coverages to frustrate him into running. And then "lightly" place him on the ground.

One thing is being overlooked in this thread. Alabama's defense is bigger than everyone elses. Taking on a 220 pound linebacker and a 250 pound linebacker is a different animal. You have to admire his courage for lowering his shoulder into a defender, but he'll think twice about it once hubbard or mosley get their hands on him. Ask Denard, Cam, Tebow, T. Taylor or any other running QB that's faced bama in the saban era

I don't think anyone said he would get hurt right away. People have just said it's coming....and, it's coming. Before he leaves ATM he will miss games because of an injury. Take that to the bank. It may or may not happen this week, but it will happen.

I wouldn't ask Cam, but if you are talking to him, tell him to step it up. My fantasy team is falling apart.
