And the ones crying the hardest want Manziel suspended without any proof. Is that correct? Because "everyone knows he did it for money?" When the NCAA comes to your school, you'll probably want a little proof before they punish you.

Clowney didnt sign 5000 autographs in different sessions
Who did? I'm mostly serious. The only "evidence" there is that Manziel signed that many are ESPN repeating brokers who won't give their name for anybody's record and who have a clear agenda against Manziel. I don't think he's innocent and don't particularly like the guy, but I also haven't seen anything that makes me think he's more guilty than Clowney et. al.

Agreed. There were shenanigans.

Mizzou fan, there is zero evidence he took money. Are you saying they should suspend him anyway? It's not about a preponderance standard, it's about people like you being butthurt that they couldn't find anything. Stop whining and deal with it

Harryk15, we are currently also dealing with a situation in which there is zero evidence that our head basketball coach, Frank Haith, gave money to a recruit while at another institution, but yet for *two years* we have been waiting for the NCAA to make a goddam ruling or some sort of statement that he's clear to coach. We've gotten nothing. Two years worth of negative recruiting against Mizzou by other coaches who can say its not stable to come here cuz our coach could be fired if the NCAA penalizes him. What is the difference between that and Manziel? Why did the NCAA "not believe" Haith's statements but chose to believe Manziel's story that he sat in a hotel room and signed hundreds of autographs for hours cuz he's just that nice a guy? I'm not butthurt at all just wondering where the consistency is, and pointing out the reality that it is economics that controlled Manziel's agreement with the NCAA, not evidence. What part of that is hard for you to grasp? I'm not a t-sip so I won't make an aggy joke there, but you're pushing for one.

I don't know anyone who doesn't believe he was paid and then lied about it. Some are just glad he got away with it, some aren't.

Well, there you have it. The inconsistency. Why did the NCAA spend a year in AU checking out lies and innuendo but refused to even set foot in Tuscaloosa to check on all the suspicious activity at T-Town Menswear. Maybe it's who you know in power. I have no idea.

That's all I'm saying, chief. So ease up.

Mizzou, I understand your frustration with the Haith situation, the NCAA acknowledged that if any other information comes to light they will reopen the case. However the only sources they have are these brokers and they are absolutely not going to talk. Their only chance besides that was to have Manziel admit he took the money, which he denied. I don't know what the particulars of the Haith case are so I'm not gonna get into that. However two wrongs don't make a right. They didn't find anything and they acted accordingly, I hope they do the same for mizzou soon

Johnny Manziel is a good boy.
He comes from a classy family.
You can go back through his family history and find one classy person after another doing honorable and ethical things to make honest money.
That grad assistant was a douche and deserved to have his arse kicked.
ESPN are haters and don't nothin bout nothin.
JFF is the greatest football player of all time. He could pitch tonight for the Yankees if he wasn't so busy fricking all the hot bitches and drinking and being the badass 20 y.o. you wish you were or had been.
JFF has a Mercedes.
Johnny is an honest young man who always puts his teammates best needs and his university's best interests before personal gain and selfishness.
Johnny signed 4400 autographs and didn't take a penny because he's just that caring, nice, and friendly.
Johnny is an honorable Aggie through and through.
A&M has a strict honor code and Johnny is a fine example of that.
Johnny will lead A&M to a National Championship and be only the second player to win back-to-back Heismans.
Johnny will go pro and end up the greatest NFL player of all time and win 7 Superbowls.

Acutally I was responding to someone else - His quote had your name in it - but I do know what you're talking about - the hypocrisy of the NCAA coupled with that of the media. Sickening.

You need the number of some good attorneys?

The SEC should have that firm on speed dial.
