Wow. What a fking douchebag. I've always disliked him. I don't think many people ever DID like him. But to be disloyal to your own choice of team and incinerate that by saying you wish you'd picked their chief rival?

What a true turd.

I don’t expect the documentary to paint everyone in a positive light…

Johnny Football's time at TAMU was mostly a cry for help. He couldn't keep his personal crisis out of the news. His own parents feared for his life. Even Peyton Manning sent him home from his camp. The guy was a teenage alcoholic and his decisions were so self-destructive that Cleveland deserved everything they got by taking him first. They had to totally ignore their own due diligence to miss the calamity that was and is Johnny Football.

FWIW Cleveland took Justin Gilbert with their first pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

I haven’t seen it, but Ags seem to like it. When exactly in the documentary did he say that? Cause I’m thinking this might be LieSU doing its thing.
He doesn't say that in the documentary. What is known, and reinforced by his family is that he grew up a longhorn fan. Every single kid did at that time.

No big deal - very few kids are fans of the burnt orange uterus these days.

Johnny was a 1st round pick (22) and you know it. That's my point here. Cleveland's owner, Jimmy Haslam, was in love with the idea of Johnny Football and completely overlooked all the baggage. Which followed him through the door.

I do. Downtown Austin has become nothing more than a hobo-infested refuge for beta-males and foreigners.

The marketing at Texas is simply nauseating. Football players as Ken dolls? The jokes write themselves. Personally, the only reason to go to Texas is if you are a left-wing liberal/socialist interested in Academics.

That's so odd. I live in Austin and work downtown every day. That's not at all my experience.

That's... not... Texas marketing? That's simply the LHN twitter account doing their own thing (which was met with a lot of disapproval from the fans fwiw).

Ironic coming from an aggie

I went to Texas as a conservative that liked academics and sports (beyond just football). Couldn't have been a better place to attend college

I'm starting to think this animosity is due to bitterness of not getting in. I mean, based on the OP, even the single most valued a&m former students ever wished they could've gone to Texas

Matts,

You are one of those younger sips that I simply despise. BTW, thanks for confirming my suspicions that you are XWing's alter.

Downtown Austin used to be amazing. Nowadays, it is a truly terrible city, with LA style traffic issues and hobos crapping on the streets. I wouldn't visit downtown Austin if you paid me, especially after dark.

That's right. I totally forgot that. Xwing/rancho is the assistant to the assistant manager at the Chipotle in downtown Austin.

Thanks for reminding me.

By... triggering you? How come every aggie that I upset on this board automatically assumes I'm this star wars person?

So, you're just a giant pussy that's scared of pedestrians? Again - I live here, and that's not my experience at all. But I guess I'm just not a gigantic vagina like you

ETA: HOLY frickING shite

No wonder you hate him so much. He trolled you to the point that you had to ban yourself

That may be so, but what he did still got him drafted in the first round.

Not sure how picking Texas would have changed anything except playing in an easier conference and schedule.

Would like to see the context of that quote, as I don't believe he even said it. Being willy is the OP.

Where did the name come from, then? I'm honestly puzzled as this is my only account on here, but every time I make an aggie cry, they immediately go "well... you're this other guy that made us cry!!! "

I've never seen Star Wars, so I was today years old when I found out "X Wing" was a pop culture reference.

Honestly, I haven't really either. But every triggered aggie kept bringing up that poster's name, and when I googled it star wars was the first thing that kept popping up
