Wait seriously? I watched the entire doc last night and didn't hear anything like that.

Is this a bad case of out context quoting/paraphrasing or did he really say it like that and I missed it?

If so, weird timing as he's opening a bar in College Station this Summer.

Literally just got done watching it, I don't remember him saying that. He said he grew up a Texas fan, called College Station a fish bowl, and said he he couldn't wait to leave, but he never said it was a mistake. They also did show highlights of that 2012 Gator D throwing him around like a ragdoll and him being like "This is the effing SEC!"

His sister is pretty cute.

It’s still surreal that the guy was an Aggie. All the circumstances and decisions that had to align for him to take a snap in College Station is mind blowing. It’s like the football gods threw a bone to the starving children of Aggieland. They have capitalized in terms of infrastructure but it’s wild that A&M wasn’t able to translate it into sustainable success.

I didn’t hear them mention any of the Florida teams but I heard the Texas comment. Might’ve been looking at tRant during the Florida part

I need to watch it again, tons of juice in there.

Basically your aging coach not offering him? It happened to a bunch of other good QBs around the same time, you may have heard. So not that surreal

Pretty sure he was the one that I made my rag doll when Texas/Ou joined.

Like, for days and days, it went on. Not sure if you were around.

That’s BS. He said he grew up wanting to go to t.u. before Mack wanted to make him a safety.

Johnny Football documentary | His biggest regret: “Picking Texas A&M over Texas

Sorry Bill, I watched the documentary. He never said that. He did say that he grew up wanting to be a teasip but they did not offer him what he wanted. A&M did. The rest is history.

I enjoy a lot of your content, but you are flat wrong on this one

Whether you like Johnny Football or not, this documentary is very good and well done. I think just about anybody who likes sports would enjoy watching it. There is a reason it is #1 on Netflix

Well, they did translate it into lots of money and taking a good shot at sustainable success.

I came away from the documentary learning one thing - his friend was a real douche. Johnny was more likable than I thought, but he was pretty damn boring.

All in all, not very good. I probably would have liked it more if it had focused more on A&M and its move to the SEC and how it affected the program overall.

What

Did you even watch it? LOL

Only thing stated about Texas.

He grew up a Texas fan. Showed Vince Young and he loved that play where he pump faked a guy and ran by him.

That Texas did not recruit him and A&M did. That’s it

Texas not recruiting is kind of true. They did not recruit him to be a QB but the show did not mention that one.

What a sad sack. Dude won the Heisman and was picked high. I’m not an Aggie but they showcased his talent. This makes him look weak!
