I swear to god, one time we decided to take the trace for fun in the fall in the 90s, i quit counting deer when i got over 100, plus we saw what is probably the biggest deer I have ever seen in my life, unless it was a damn big stray horse.
Pre cell phone days, in 84 i saw deer herds in the 100s on Trace in Tennessee in snow and about 1/2 miles later we saw the only big adult cougar i have ever seen. We came to complete stop and it just walked across the road about 100 yards in front of us in our headlights. It just totally and completely ignored us. Zero fear, it was about to have venison for dinner. Never will forget that, we thought it was big dog at first then those shoulder blades popped up as it strutted across the road.

I actually had a nice conversation after the Arkansas/LSU game this weekend in Tampa with Musselmans former roomate in college that lives in Sarasota, FL.
Musselman turned down his dream job last year (Arizona). His wife and daughter love Fayetteville way to much to leave. He told me he doesn’t think Muss wants to go back to NBA and the fact that he turned down his dream job last year speaks volumes
