I’m still in shock that Auburn hired him. His arse was about to be fired by State. He is a primary reason they have been so behind in the NIL game.

Cohen did his due diligence when considering Freeze, there was just no way of knowing Hugh would be in over his head at a job of Auburn's caliber or that he couldn't coach the talent he acquired to translate to wins on the field.
and i’m pretty sure Cohen knew it too, i think he was hired only after promising to hire Freezus
Freezus was a “perfect fit” for AU because he personified everything wrong about our Athletic Dept in general and our football program in particular
thats the main reason i have such high hopes for Golesh, he is the antithesis of Freezus and the people who supported his hire

Do Auburn fans know if his wife is as aggressively vocal about gay and trans rights at Auburn as she was at Mississippi State? Is she trying to use the Auburn athletic program as a platform for her activism like she did at State? Auburn has certainly played like it.
Beyond wins and losses, that is another reason Mississippi State was more than happy to let Auburn “steal” him. And that is why there was a lot of pushback internally at Auburn to hire him. I am glad they ignored this and hired him anyway.

Auburn’s biggest fault, biggest weakness is we will go in 100% with whatever the intelligencia of the PTB say and support these sorry arse coaches and ADs until it is too late and they have fricked shite up so bad you can’t deny they need to go.
I would have fired Harsin and Freeze after one year. I’d have fired Cohen last year. frick them. Be better.
No, wait. I’d have never hired such shitty people in the first place. You could type in the computer, who should Auburn hire for _____, and come up with better.

John cohens legacy is a complete failure. He was on the college baseball selection committee and didn’t make a case to keep ole miss out of the postseason the year they won their national championship. They were horrible and had no business being in the postseason based on their regular season record and got hot (hence, last in, last out). Kudos to them for winning it all, but that gigantic L should be strapped to this throat and sink him into the depths of idiotic hubris purgatory (or the Jewish trans-friendly version of that), forever.
Aside from that, his character is glaringly egocentric, boastful, and arrogant. State will never be able to repay Auburn for the service they did when they hired cohen.

He made up for it when he screwed Bama baseball immediately after Greg Byrne gave AU one of the greatest basketball selection committee gifts. It started the “Cohen Curse” that I warned AU was coming in May of 2023. I tried to tell them how to fix it in Oct 2025, but they wouldn’t listen.
