Their point is that the aTm offense is so much better

Even though they've won less championships and games and are still predicted to win less games than LSU
And now their defense will be at least as good as LSU's if not better. Even though they're still predicted to win less games.

Only because he inherited great DE's.
Tenn DL at the end of his tenure was a big reason Fulmer got fired.
His inability to recruit at LSU is no different, he inherited a lot when he got to LSU.
Maybe this is the year Sumlin finally wises up and runs the football a little bit.

Well a top 20 defense would go against everything yall have said Steele could do at LSU. So yea.

Yep. LSU was "halfway there" in 2009, 2013, & 2014. You can expect a similar looking pass rush.

This shows just how detached LSU fans are from reality.

If A&M finishes with the #1 defense in the SEC like LSU did last year we WILL win the SEC West. Period. It doesnt matter how many sacks we get.

A Kevin Sumlin offense is going to absolutely boatrace most teams out of the building if we have a defense giving up less than 250-300 yards a game. Will that happen? Almost certainly not, but LSU fans have no concept of the different reality Chavis lives in now with a comlimentary offense.

Yall boast about your offense like it actually wins games. That offense hasn't done shite for you. Seriously, everyone said when Johnny left that aTm would get a slap in the face with reality. Which happened. Meanwhile, the usual suspects (besides LSU) continued on winning.

And Yalls defense hasn't always been a shite show either, so don't try to go down that road.

bullshite

Most of us have repeatedly said LSU has too much defensive talent to fail right away. Im confident there are posters here who could field a top 10-20 defense in 2015.

The claim is that one, that could begin to collapse as player development declines under an inferior DC and two, LSU will struggle if their defense isnt elite because their offense cannot compensate.

LSU went 7-5 with the #1 defense in the SEC. That would never happen at A&M.

Because yards win games, amirite?

Holy shite!

You may want to go look up the number of defenses Chavis had at LSU that gave up less than 300 YPG.

The fact you said this and then proceed to spew the nonsense that you did is fricking gold.

Which I said later in the same post if you had bothered reading it all.

I dont for one second believe Chavis will lead the SEC in defense in 2015. All Im saying is if he did, or ever does, A&M would be an elite team. Not 7-5.

It would if you were the second youngest team in the conference who's backup Qb is a TF. Don't pretend like last years O is the norm for LSU offense. Even the JJ years LSU put up points.

Let's think about yhat

Well Sumlin has won the same number of games as Les since joining the SEC

and that was with the 100+ ranked D

While Les had the number 1 D

Even with the shutout, a QB meltdown, starting a true freshman QB for five games, three new starting receivers and facing six top-25 defenses we still managed to finish something like 28th in total offense.

Our offense was below Sumlin's standards last year, but it was still better than most of Les Miles' units lately.
