Your just mad cuz you need the top recruits outta texas, florida and georgia to complete your small state recruiting dreams and win more natties but Texas got em all and now you have to go down to the lousiana 3 stars after the top 12 in state. LOL!

I think the hype isn't because of what he's done and is because of his name. He may well prove the hype is real, but Manning is getting similar hype to Vince Young in 2005 when Texas last came to OSU. Vince Young was a proven stud already who further solidified himself as an all timer both against OSU and the rest of that year winning a title.
I think DCs should have a spy on him as a runner as he has proven to be effective doing that and then prove he can beat you as a passer against good college defenses. His stats last year were good against the teams he played, but he didn't play against good defenses.

Didn't trevor lawrence basically take the starter job and absolutely crush it his first year, culminating in a dominant win in the national title game?

I think
1) Arch is good, and will be good, but is being anointed as the next GOAT
2) I think he is a tremendously classy kid, and I will root for him after he leaves texas.
