I'm pleased that during the past 7 football seasons, an Alabama player has been invited to New York as a heisman finalists 5 times, with 1 winner.
5 out of the last 7 and the last 3 years in a row is pretty damn good.
2009 Mark Ingram (won)
2010 none
2011 Trent Richardson
2012 none
2013 AJ McCarron
2014 Amari Cooper
2015 Derrick Henry

I think it will either be Henry or McCaffrey.

I still think LF7 is a better running back, but Henry had a better season.
This is how I feel.
Would have no problem with Henry winning it. Would also have no problem with McCaffrey winning it. Voters wanting to cast their 1st place vote for either one is certainly justifiable.

I thought this at the mid point of the season, didn't really consider it close tbh.
I think it's a lot closer than it was, Henry's shown the ability to avoid tacklers and bounce runs outside I didn't think he had.
If I was picking one for the NFL draft, I'd take LF7 first. But it's not as clear cut for me as it was 3 months ago.

SEC defenses are so "good" because the SEC offense suck.
Concerning total offense, you might have an argument but the SEC ranks fairly well in rushing offense...and rushing defense as well. Bama faced 8 teams within the top 50 rushing defenses while Stanford only faced 3 (and they lost to the highest ranked rushing D they faced, Northwestern, and rushed for less than 100 yards as a team)....
That being said, I think any of the three are worthy...
