It's finals week and I hate everyone and everything.

Their offenses of the last two seasons have been overwhelmingly reliant on their production and they carried their respective teams to SEC championships and playoff berths. I don't have a problem with Bama players or coaches getting their due recognition and praise because they've earned it.
Auburn and LSU fans are pulling for anyone but Henry soooooo hard

You're one of, maybe, four Boogs on tRant actively rooting for Henry.

Keep in mind that 2600 of Sander's 3000+ all-purpose yards were rushing yards. McCaffrey average 80.2 kickoff return yards per game dude.
He has 2400 yds from scrimmage.

The number of finalists is determined by the results.
3 finalists is actually good for Henry, as it indicates that Henry, Watson, and McAffery were on just about every ballot, just with the order varying.
If there are 4-5 finalists that's a bad sign for Henry IMO.
That means a lot of people wasted their votes on people like Baker Mayfield and Keeynan Reynolds and stuff. Players who absolutely can't win, but who give voters with an agenda an excuse to leave other players off.

If things were going better on the Plains I might be a little more generous in my well wishes for Henry.
However, it's a complete cluster in Lee County and the very last thing we need in a year we were projected to win the SEC and compete for a NC is Bama's Heisman trophy winning running back hoisting the trophy instead.
Sorry not sorry

Dude plays for the Naval academy, out of the 3 I'd say he's most deserving of a "just because"

Also, this is a made for ESPN event. I'm sure they'll love playing up the Service Academy, 'Murica aspect of his presence. I mean he could possibly travel by helicopter, can't see ESPN missing out on a chance for that image

I wanted him to make the ceremony just to see a helicopter take him from the Army-Navy game to NYC.

I don't give a shite about the award... it represents a lot of what is screwed up about CFB... rarely does the player with the best season actually win.
True
There are three who could win it this year, and all would be deserving in one way or another. The award is viewed differently by so many people though.

Derrick Henry:
339 carries, 1,986 yards, 5.9 ypc, 23 TDs.
10 catches, 97 yards.
Christian McCaffrey:
319 carries, 1,847 yards, 5.8 ypc, 8 TDs.
41 catches, 540 yards, 4 TDs.
36 KOR, 1,047 yards, 1 TD
2/3 passing 39 yards, 2 TD

287/413 passing, 69.5% completion, 3,512 yards, 30 TD, 11 INT
163 carries, 887 yards, 5.4ypc, 11 TD
How I think it will go:
Henry

Watson
How I think it SHOULD go after watching them:

McCaffrey just impresses the hell out of me, more so than Henry.

K.
Sanders had more yards from scrimmage in less games and has almost 20 more TDs.
Are we done pretending McCaffrey is as good as Henry?

Good for him.

He is. He's a different type of running back. In fact, there could easily be an argument that he's better.
Henry will never have a game like McCaffrey had vs USC

Stats alone mean nothing if you don't factor in the level of competition.
Henry put up his numbers against much, much better defenses.

I think McCaffrey is better than Henry.
You put Henry on Stanford and McCaffrey on Alabama and I think that Henry has maybe 1400 yards and McCaffrey is over 2k.

Oh, wait up, one more thing, Sanders had 344 carries in 1988, 25 more more than McCaffrey has right now, yet he ended up with 800 more rushing yards than McCaffrey in eleven games as compared to thirteen.
It's Henry. Get over it.

Someone with 11 INTs is up for the Heisman?

Have to do with this? Henry had LESS yards from scrimmage than McCaffrey.

Mcaffery broke Barry Sanders all purpose yard record

Dude Henry would have 2500 yards in the PAC 12.

Do you know why SEC defenses look so good? Because the SEC has the worst offenses of any P5 conference.
