I mean should we talk about shitty Tua has been in the NFL or nah?

I didn't get the impression the OP was attacking Burrow or LSU fans, but whatever douche.

Since you brought up Tua, the reports out of Miami have been very good about Tua thus far. He's playing well.

It's funny how when Tua comes back from injury on a bad football team he "sucks", but now you LSU fans want to pop your titty in Joe Burrow's mouth coming off injury.

it blows my mind that Cincinnati wasted their 1st round pick on Chase instead of a lineman. your qb can't throw the ball if he has 2 seconds to do it. idc who you are, you still need a line.

This is why the Bengals are the Bengals. Build around Joe and you can have average RB's and WR's and still get an offense. Put Joe in a wheelchair and it won't matter how much skill talent you have.

This troll shitefest will label him a bust knowing Patrick Mahomes would end up in a body bag playing for this shite team.

If he struggling in camp, sucks for the Bengals.

Not our problem.

To anyone who has ever suffered a severe injury (like this) on the field, it is not surprising that he is struggling mentally and physically (somewhat) in coming back to pre-injury form. To believe that no one would do the same is just ignorance on their part.

He’a gotta build faith in his leg again and he will be fine. They shouldn’t rush that though. He’s still very young

Patrick Mahomes has a much better O-line, coaching staff, and organization than tiny hands.

Sounds like something Alabama fans were saying about Tua. Hmm.....

OP wasn't trolling, but these types of threads bring out the trolls. Some LSU posters had no problem talking about Tua's injuries, his struggles or anything they felt like a dig at Bama posters last year. That being said I think most respectful people hopes Burrow comes back fully healed and ready for week 1.

He didn’t struggle in Tuscaloosa. He does better against a Bama defense.

They don't have the vertical RPO in the NFL though.

I have been wondering how both Burrow and Tua would adjust to having that taken away. It's a big part of both LSU and Alabama's offense. And it's just not really possible with the NFL rules.

What's are the rule differences you reference? Honestly don't know.

Please don't compare Burrow to the greatest QB to ever play in the NFL.

Of course they do. Burrow seems like a good dude. I hope he has a great career.

Basically it revolves around lineman downfield. In college, they are allowed to go 3 yards downfield(and rarely get called for anything less than 5 yards).

In the NFL, they are only allowed to go downfield 1 yard before it's a penalty.

The RPO works so well because traditionally you read the lineman to determine if's pass or run. With the RPO, they block like it's a run play, but then throw the ball...depending on the read.

In college, the extra yards allows the players to get deeper down the field often times, where as in the NFL that lineman is going to be much further than 1 yard downfield pretty quickly. So it's more "vertical" in terms of getting players downfield and then throwing.

But in the NFL, the RPO's are much faster because you have to make the pass before the lineman gets too far down field. And it doesn't take them long at all to get 1 yard downfield.

And the lineman have no idea if the QB is going to choose run or pass, so they just keep blocking like it's a run.

End result is RPO's are shorter for less yards in the NFL.

I hate that rule. No way a LB can read run, then cover a kid like James Cook in the flat or on a wheel route.

And they actually call it in the NFL. In college I've seen a Guard literally blocking 8-9 yards downfield for the WR while the balls in the air....multiple times. Never called.

The risk of not investing in Cincinnati O-line keeps on giving...

If anyone can get it back on track, Joe can.

GM owns this.
