Joe burrow's stats as a college QB

His QBR is 102nd in the nation.
He is 53rd on Total Yards Passing
He is 112th on Completion %
He is 84th on yards per attempt
He is 102nd on TDs thrown
He has thrown 1/2 as may Ints as TD passes.
He isn't a good runner either. He has run for 250 yards through 8 games 3.7 yards average.

He simply isn't a good QB. Hell he isn't even Average

I guess he hands the ball off OK though

Better than we’ve had...and good enough to take down mighty Bama in Nov.

He’s so awful. Laughable even.

But he doesn't make bonehead mistakes. That's all you need to do to be a competent LSU QB with an O line and running attack like they have. They may as well just run the wishbone every play.

Gonna be awkward when he beats the best team in NFL history.

Burrow is the second best QB LSU has had this decade. That's the real sad part.

Sad but true.

What is LSU's deal on QBs?

It's kind of like Alabama and field goal kickers I guess

That's all you need with Bama-type RBs and oline like Hurts, McElroy, Wilson and Coker.
LSU doesn't have that luxury.

He is a game manager which is not a bad thing for teams that rely on the running game and defense to win. If you can't have a Heisman contender or future nfl qb, then having one who protects the ball is the next best thing. He draws teams off sides for first downs, and most importantly, forces team to beat LSU because LSU will not beat themselves with Joe in charge. He also has this uncanny ability to make defenses forget he can run, and then runs for critical first downs. The kid is savvy and I can see why he was so popular at tOSU.

It really isn’t. Anthony Jennings is outperforming him through their first 8 starts. Chew on that for a bit.

Doesn’t matter, LSU relies on the running backs.
